Featured Replies

If we are bringing early doors into it, I'll have some if that.

Can be found in Dave often enough.

As others have said, very under rated.

  • With you there mate.   I think he's funny as fuck.

  • Early Doors was brilliant. Watching that actually cheered me,some great characters in that, The Office leaves me cold I don't like 'cringeworthy' comedy and Gervais is a sarcastic, sneering ,snivellin

You've not asked the question about Pickles.

Early Doors was brilliant. I could cheerfully smash his teeth down his throat when he starts that put on laugh a la An Idiot Abroad. I hate him.

great post

says it all

Just watched that one

And the Princess Diana song for Dawn :)

finished the office

christmas special remains classic tv

but on the whole, it dodn't do as much for me as first time around

into PN, now

2 eps in and its been rather chucklesome

already had send the buggers back

PN was more novel for me and had more actual gags, even though the Office ushered in (as far as I knew anyway) the 'mockumentary' style, so was pretty unique itself.

Loved both but Phoenix nights was just more nutty, gobsmacking and despite being OTT in parts, actually it was quite believable, we've all known those types of characters.

I've had the argument before that I just don't think people outside the north quite 'get it' on the same level. Doesn't mean they can't like it but I think they view it on a different level.

I worked at The Ellesmere for a few years and Phenix nights is exactly the same, same type or characters etc.

They wanted to film it at The Ellesmere but the owd gits on the committee voted against it, so the filming took place at St Gregorys in Farnworth.

You'll know my Auntie and Uncle then. They've been going in there for years. I was in myself two months ago.
