  • With you there mate.   I think he's funny as fuck.

  • Early Doors was brilliant. Watching that actually cheered me,some great characters in that, The Office leaves me cold I don't like 'cringeworthy' comedy and Gervais is a sarcastic, sneering ,snivellin

Both were ace but PN easily the better of the two.

Office is very good. PN is very good. Gervias is annoying. Kay did Geraldine McQueen. Porridge for me.

i'm watching both this week

when i've finished i'll see if i still think the office is quite a bit better

The office is brilliantly written and performed

PN is a pantomime in comparison

I saw about 10 minutes of that & was too embarrassed to go on.

PN wasn't just him though, in fact, it's the other characters I prefer. I prefer PN to the Office purely because I find Gervais so incredibly annoying.

Both very good for different reasons.

Phoenix nights is more your traditional situation comedy with one liners and daft things going on but very simple and done rough and ready.

The office is more your modern 'just like real life' documentary thing using clever camera work etc.

Depends completely on taste.

watched the first 3 office episodes last night

cringeworthy, but that was the point, wasn't it :)

PN by a long way for me & I thought "Extras" was better than "The Office".

Wash your mouth out.

Both are brilliant. I'd have PN just edging it though.

The Office for me.

Both excellent for different reasons, but both pale in comparison to Early Doors.

Never 'got' the office, sure it had funny bits but nowhere near are great of funny as folk made it out to be.

Phoenix Nights wins hands down for me, had me in stitches at times.

This

Early Doors was criminally underrated

The Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart appearance in Extras are miles funnier than anything in the office

The Office was alright, watched it again recently, and it just wasn't as funny as first time round, whereas can still enjoy Phoenix Nights

The US Office - very good once you get into it, but with 8 series, it goes on too long and just gets really daft/boring by the end

The only thing that I liked about The Office was when that fat bearded bloke made lewd comments in the lunch room and then bit into the scotch egg. That's only because I like Scotch eggs.

TV gold!!! :D

Liked both, must also admit that extras was better though.

Correct.

Correct.

I'm also a massive early doors fan.

Very, very underrated.

Phil and Nige, could easily do a spin off show.

I love the Royal Family to.

I love the Royal Family to.

I thought the first couple of series were excellent, but quickly got boring. I've found the last couple of Christmas specials to be very tiresome.

Agree with Early Doors, very underrated.

Crime won't crack itself.

I've only watched 3 eps of the office.

This has just made  and spit some vimto out.

"Lot of crime in America, word of advice, keep your travellers cheques in a bum bag"

Thanks I'll buy one

"what when you get there? Word of warning then"

hahahaha

If we are bringing early doors into it, I'll have some if that.

Can be found in Dave often enough.

As others have said, very under rated.
