Let's say, as an example, I want to invest £1,500 in Lloyds shares, what charges can I expect, and how easy is it to sell?

To buy £1500 it would cost you £1505 - selling them is really easy, you just enter your online account and choose how many you want to sell....

Even I can use it easily, and I'm as thick as pig shit

I do it through my bank

on a normal day where nothing is happening with your share, you can sell £1,500 no problem in less than a minute.

If you're investing in some AIM tin pot oil company, trying to sell on the day theres good or bad news is hard. Even then though £1,500 would still be easy to sell.

I trust a set of perverts, pisspots and ne'er do wells over internet "brokers".

True, just another £0.05p each and I'll be cashing mine in

I think the govt are looking to cover their loses on RBS by holding on.

Carlos, do you have shares in Did's mum's place? What they trading at?
