March 11, 201412 yr Some managers though have said in the past that they actually want players knocking on the door if they are dropped ,as it supposedly shows they care. Can't quite see how that's a real culture issue to be honest
March 11, 201412 yr I think DF desperately wants us to think he is a terribly clever man and manager. He appears to complicate things that don't need complicating. Sounds to me like players knocking on the door would be more than likely trying to get a handle on what he was trying to achieve.
March 11, 201412 yr Hmm. This all bollocks IMO.I'd want players banging on the door. And moritz strikes me as a player who happy to play a bit part. From what I've seen, I'd never start him anyway. Edited March 12, 201412 yr by HomerJay

And where is that exactly? I thought it was good to want players knocking on his door regards playing? For long spells they were probably knocking on to ask "am I going to be in the squad this week or should I make other plans?" Agree about moritz as well, plenty goals but never going to be a regular starter
March 12, 201412 yr I think there's a way of "knocking on the door" There's hunger and desire to perform for the club Then there's petulant selfish moaning I have sympathy with DF here as my gut is that a few of our lot were more the latter As for anyone that's not desperate to play....that's not far off being as bad
March 12, 201412 yr Then there's petulant selfish moaning wonder who that would've been certainly not Mears

March 12, 201412 yr No win situation for a player not in the team, there. Player unhappy knocks on door for discussion get sent further out of the equation. Player not in team and doesn't knock on door is seen to not give a shit by the fans.

It isn't about the door knocking rather the players thinking it was a personal problem Freedman had with them rather than tactics/form.
March 12, 201412 yr so, now we done with the deadwood list/excuses can we speculate on who the petulant door knockers are? am thinking: Knight Mills.. actually it's probably the same list what you reckon?

March 12, 201412 yr wasn't he sat in the lowry offering him a new deal? am pretty sure he was one of the ones geting slated post blackburn as well I'm not sure what you mean.
March 12, 201412 yr If Mears has been knocking on a door it is one at Lostock as he has been training with the kids for months.
March 12, 201412 yr wasn't he sat in the lowry offering him a new deal? am pretty sure he was one of the ones geting slated post blackburn as well most folk watching thought knight was out of order when he had ago at mears but mears hasn't played since so we can only assume more to it than there seemed to be ie mears already acting the cunt
March 12, 201412 yr No doubt about it He's probably thought we're cunts as well since that Crewe friendly I am in no way defending him either, for whatever hes on a week he should not be acting up and frozen out for presumably being a cunt
March 12, 201412 yr I'm not sure what you mean. I mean what bigger praise can he give him than a new contract?
