Night And Day

Not sure I like the idea for this country

We get decent crowds anyway

Who'll turn up for test matches on Friday and Saturday nights? Or Sunday?

And, it will get cold for all.

Don't get it personally

Isnt the theory that it's a prep for winter

It'll hardly be dark at close of play so I'm with you

Looking at the crowd for Lancs last night, it was pretty shoddy. The SA test at Lancs looked pretty poorly attended. Seems a tough ask to get folk into the cricket these days. So I guess they're trying something different to see if it works.

I guess for the working man, it means half day off work, rather than a full day.

With this, they could play 3-day Tests on Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon with 150 overs a day.

Make them work for their money.

I have some spare tickets for Saturday at Edgbaston if anyone knows anyone

I think there's some hope for the West Indies

I think there's some hope for the West Indies

Their batting can't be anything like their bowing or else this will be a very easy win

Cook be desperate for this first 300. Its got to be the best chance he's ever had.

61 to go. Hope Captain Root doesn't declare before then.

Those of a certain age can remember when West Indies were great

bit sad to see them now

Agree in one respect. But in the other its great for us to be able to trounce them.

Almost there; an absolute thrapping.

Good to see Jesus get his ball back, after significant support from cardinals, bishops and bananas. Once non- men of the cloth got involved the stewards started to get concerned and saw the light.

Wonderful days cricket.

West Indies have tossed it away?

Should be a good last day.

£10 for adults and free for kids- a good effort that.

Pity its not at OT. Might have gone along.

Im not having it that they are about to beat us! They are fucking dog shit, right?

Fair fucks to um, great effort this.

Obviously not as shit as folk thought, must admit, I thought the likes of Bob Willis was going OTT with his criticism.

Willis is a bit of a boycott. Old moaning cunt.

I'm sure England's players will reflect and think they could have done things better or differently, but the pitch hardly followed the expected pattern and I'm pleased Root set a sporting target.

Maybe the experience will stand the team in good stead should a similar situation arise again, with a bit more at stake. (Winning the last test to win the ashes for example).

Bangla beat the Aussies, so maybe not so much of a drama here after all

Congrats to Jimmy

Absolutely. What a spectacular wicket for the milestone too.

Love seeing the poles splattered.
