    Not sure tbh, I used to find that the motorway cleared after 9, whereas the east lancs route was bad till much later.

    Was particularly bad traffic this morning, left bolton at 6:15, took an hour to get to Piccadilly going 606 route.

    If you're going through Golborne/Lowton after 9ish you should be fine.

     

    I live in Lowton and if i set off to work at 8 it can sometimes take about 25 mins to cross the East Lancs which is 1 mile from my front door. Traffic can be appalling
