Yes. I was on the last minute for the coach and there was nowt left. It was all I could get. I thought I could get something further on but.... well I didn't think at all did I, I didn't want to miss the coach..

My heart was throbbing to a samba beat all the way down.

Did you pour the cheese in to your hand like you would some salted nuts?

Or did you scoop handfuls out of the bag like arthur the cat?

Ah well, itโ€™s caught on.ย
ย

You can get grated cheese everywhere these days.

Saddest thing about being down there is crossing the road opposite King William remembering how it felt to be in there.

All the madness going on outside ,just before we got into it

I think the word, โ€˜sacrilegeโ€™ passes either my lips or my mind each time I drive past.

The thing is Mick ,when i really try i can think hard enough to put myself back into that time and place (like an episode of Life on mars)

Standing inside at 2 45 ready to dive out of the back door, curtains closed, not a horizontal surface anywhere without a dead glass on it ,the air thickย with fag smoke, big hairy Alsatian barking outside the locked front door and may be a police siren going off.

One last look back ,and then out of the door , round the corner and onto a teeming car park

Football has never been that exciting for me ever since and wont ever be in the future ,my kids both follow football but they have never had that experience that we grew up with.

It was a big bag Gonzo, And not this girly grated stuff now. It was rough cut, out of a catering bag, what they used to use for C & O pies and pasties.

I just squashed it together in a handful.ย  Like a cheesey banana. It was all over me and the seat and everything.

I remember those pies being the hottest thing I'd ever touched, so we used to all get 3 at 2.55pm before a game in winter. Stick two in your pockets to keep you/your hands warm and eat one in a failed attempt to soak up some ale.
