Their goal,to his left,he dives with both arms at same lenght,ball tips his fingers and goes into net. BUT if he had dived to the left with his left arm leading, his body shape would of been different thus giving him a longer reach thus enabling him to tip the ball around the post.

 

 

A cross into the box,Stead free header,Jussi, arches back, bends knees, arms outstrectched, luckily ball hits the bar above his arms.But if he would of stayed big,either comfortable push over the bar or even maybe a catch.

 

 

Long ball over the top,Jussi stood at edge of box,had he come racing out he would of got to the ball,But,he didn't,he hesitated then back tracked and fortunately our defence scrambled the ball clear for a throw in.

According to the official site match report he had a "moment of ambivalence" with N'Gotty. If that was a moment of ambivalence then the whole game was an ambivalent act.

Think that Jussi's mind is in turmoil with his contract. Maybe dropping him for a couple of games may help. :-&

A good keeper would have got to it, it was close to him at a nice height and he could see Dickov was shooting and then see the ball all the way. He went for it two handed and missed with both, one hand would have been enough.

I'm confused as to why Sir Alex would want to swap the likes of Howard or Carroll with Jaaskelainen. He has been tinkering for years to replace the Great Dane - fact is - he never will.

I would imagine Utd would be better putting in a very large bid for Cudicini.

i still think we've got bigger areas of concern than the goalkeeper

Fact is though, Chelsea are aiming for silverware on 4 fronts. And few may bet against them collecting 3 of those trophies. Cech could get injured or sent off at any minute. No way Marino would do what Allardyce does, and have a "make-do" keeper in reserve. He only replaces quality with quality. All over the field. Not one of his replacement players is any worse than the players they replace.

Same goes for Cudicini. He is the ultimate keeper to have in reserve.

 

I don't think Tim Howard is as bad as Fergie makes out (by not selecting him). I would snap his hands off if a potential swap plus cash deal was on offer. I would probably be happy for us to take Howard and one of the up & coming Utd kids - Richardson perhaps?

On the Jussi debate, we were talking against jackburn about him, and we could not remember the last time we came away from a match saying our keeper won us the points there. Nearly ever premiership team seem to say this, yet I cannot remember when jussi won us points other than our 2-1 victory at OT in our first season back. Yet even the clown at City wins them points, Green at norwich, the keeper at palace, hoult at WBA, always seem to win man of the match when they take points.

 

I may be biased because I am not jussi's biggest fan (having said that there is not many out there who are available) and stand to be corrected
