  1. Ha, from the person who deals in absolutes and often ridicules other positions on performances, players and tactics. Get in the bin. I don't view anyone as a simpleton, except the few people I know of here personally, but I am also fairly basic. Just stating that for accounting purposes the value of a player will always decrease, until either they are sold, or as you do point out the club offers a new contract, but I think that is more complicated as it only salary costs, not purchase costs associated. I really don't care that much so will just read the back and forth from now on.
  2. Every players value decreases until someone comes in to buy them, but you can't capture that. If we sign a player for £3million, on a 3 year deal, they decrease by £1 million per year to zero. If they run their contract down a leave, their value is zero. It is only IF a player is sold that their value to us may increase. Yes who we are buying we will hope will increase in value, but you can't capture a potential future value.
  3. So our budget could be somewhere in the region of £47 million, 85% of £20 million current turn over, assumed £20 million increase for being in the Championship and the maximum £15 million investment. Not a huge amount to cover wages (already £20 million) and signing fees.
  4. Yes, you!!!
  5. Troy Deeney said it, therefore it is nonsense. Could only hear us for the majority of the game on the TV
  6. I think next season is different, we are not expecting to be in the autos or the playoffs, so there is less pressure. I had my doubts when we couldn't win away and looked lost in a few games, but the recruitment in January and Dalby hitting exceptional form have helped. The performances in the last 3 games have shown a new side to us with grit, determination and most importantly taking our chances when it matters. We achieved what we set out to do and that is all that matters, a long summer awaits, there will be big changes and a clean slate for next season.
  7. Barrie hadn't done much tbf but Sidibe was a suprise, was still causing issues and didnt look like he was tiring, his reaction to being subbed also suggests he was of a similar opinion
  8. Kenny yes but personally I wouldn't go for Burstow, his form dropped off a cliff and not done much to convince me he can make the step up. Maybe a loan from the PL to add to the attack (I know that is Burstow now). Definitely need more steel in midfield, but main area for strengthening is the defence, need a LB, as good as tutu has been we need cover there, and at least one CB. Would take Cissoko if price is right, need another right sided player and hopefully ACD back on loan
  9. Well even if we do, it won't be them pricks doing the battering
  10. I am just confused why Kenny was there, I thought there was no way he would still be with us if he was injured 🤷‍♂️
  11. I just hope he is consulting a few posters off here
  12. I am not, but working on it, was waiting outside the pub for the 11am opening
  13. It is so incredible how a simple game can create such strong, overwhelming feelings in people. I am buzzing and called my Dad at full time just to scream down the phone. It is only a game they say, fuck that!! it is so, so much more and when it goes your way it is fucking incredible, better than anything else.
  14. It all clicked at the right time, gambles paid off and we got decisions we wouldn't have got in the normal season due to VAR. We were under pressure first half, but controlled the game in the 2nd from the start and the subs, from both teams, changed the course of the game.
