  1. Indeed - although even then you see the difference between Folkes & Bairstow - clearly that was for the bloke with the gloves and luckiily his mate bailed him out of his tentativity. Should be walking this game, hopefully we survive tonight and piss it tomorrow.
  2. He's caught one!
  3. Scary how easily we'd be winning this match if they could catch.
  4. Ducket was out trying to score at least (and if Bairstow was their keeper it would have got him a 4) - Crawley just hung his bat there for who knows what reason.
  5. Pope injury laid it on a plate for the management group to quietly climb down and bring Foakes in - sadly for all the talk of bravery, they're not brave enough to admit a mistake sometimes. We're still gonna get them out cheapish but we've taken 18 wickets already in this test.
  6. Well, self proclaimed great Australian team needs to resort to dirty tricks to get relatively narrow wins against a team of brainless clubbers - well done to them, very impressive.
  7. Will be time for Broad to have a go soon - we're only 6 down and if they're going to have attacking fields there's a reasonable risk/reward to him taking a punt
  8. Statement from the MCC: “After this morning’s play, emotions were running high, and words were unfortunately exchanged with some of the Australian team, by a small number of Members. "We have unreservedly apologised to the Australian Team and will deal with any Member who has not maintained the standard we expect through our disciplinary processes. "It was not necessary to eject anyone from the ground and I am pleased to say that there was no repeat of this as the players resumed the field for this afternoon." Pathetic.
  9. Nah we need 13 and they need 4 - but agreed gamblers getting a little forward - not by much though.
  10. England now bookies favourite - hope it's quick as pressure will start to reverse the nearer we get
  11. They're certainly nothing special.
  12. If Aussie commentary includes a token Brit they certainly know their place - we're the only mugs who think people want some vague international balance in a domestic broadcast
  13. Nice to see some of the members having a word - Khawaja get in to a set to on it, the pillock. You can be within the rules but still unsporting - no need whatsoever for them to sustain an appeal in those circumstances. Any whilst they're moaning about the catch last night, what about the Root dismissal first innings - far more pivotal to the match, and Smith was still desperatelt fumbling with the ball after he'd finished rolling it along the ground - absolutely laughable that was deemed out after the later decision.
  14. Not a bad season - Yorkshire scum relegated, we reached the final of both cups and bottled the run chase from a position of strength in each, and ended the season by battering the champions elect by an innings and plenty.
  15. Who could look at that Rogue's Gallery of a privy council and think we'd be better off with a politician as head of state.

Funeral will be Monday 19th so no direct clash.
  17. Campaign group got the signatures to force a special general meeting to make the board vote against further removal of county championship matches. Club responded by scheduling it at 9am on a workday, announced in a series of tweets designed to make it look like they chose to hold the meeting themselves. Pretty shabby.
  18. Yep - we'd be over the line already with a decent spinner😋 Considering how good Bracewell looked, pretty poor leach's only wicket came as they were trying to batter him without respect.
  19. Kiwi part timer getting plenty out of the pitch. Leach if the sort of player you can with win, but you'll never win because of him. Nonsensical to stay loyal when you at least have a chance to find out more about a player who's a genuine match winner at the 2nd highest level.
  20. Starting to get excited to see if Leach can bring up his century unbeaten. (no offence to the lad, but he's not from Bolton and he's clearly not a special player who you stick with to avoid giving the outstanding English spinner of the last 10 years a go).
  21. Hard to see England have moved away from the system where certain players have to overtly fail for 6 months in a row before they get dropped - stability is key, even when it's stability of shit it seems
  22. New regime looking pretty toothless today, even with the best player opposite missing. Hopefully they actually make the reset they pretended to make at some point.
  23. Same claim was made before he was the best spinner in county cricket for 3 years running, and before he played 8 short format games for England with success. Now he's got Monty numb nuts Panedar writing articles about him failing after he bowled 14 overs and got the only wicket by a spinner on a green top. Unfortunately England squad seems to be very cliquey and his face doesn't fit, whilst confident but limited players like Bess get decent runs in the team. For a new era there are remarkably few changes to a playing squad which was badly found out last winter.
  24. I see Parky has been immediately fucked off again in favour of tried and tested mediocrity
  25. How do you know someone's a Vegan? Don't worry, they'll let you know...
