  1. I went along with open mind, heard more to be positive about than negative. Stuck my form in at the end, if they think I've anything useful to offer I'll be happy to do what I can
  2. Also heard from mate who supports them T'Rovers bid £800k for Clough, looking to bring a few in now embargo lifted
  3. This. I know nobody who's involved, am open minded about what a Trust might be able to achieve, and will be guided by the collective expertise and experience they have assembled to address the meeting. I'll be there and give it a fair hearing.
  4. That formation and players used wasn't one designed to win the game, not with Pratley wide left of mid. Also, why could Lennon and his team see young Holding was being ripped an arsehole at right back even before the goals rained in, and either replaced him or give him more cover? And, after all his transfer dealings we were back to the same cart horse central defensive duo he reckoned weren't good enough at the end of last season. Just a few examples of why Lennon should do us a favour and bail out
  5. Roundly booed every player after 3rd and 4th went in, bit of 'you're not fit to wear the shirt', bit of arguing among our own near me. None of it surprising and all pretty justifiable in the circumstances. Seen worse but people (including me) were pretty steamed up
  6. Just got back, a truly dark day, spineless capitulation. Got poisonous near the end but no wonder. Lennon needs to do the decent thing in the circumstances and walk
  7. That's the issue for me, we wouldn't keep chewing the fat over Feeney if the team weren't so over-reliant on him. Was actually better 2nd half and more came from left when Moxey pushed forward and he and others got round Davies more, worked some good openings from that
  8. Great for Chungy, fabulous goal. Hasn't happened for him there, maybe a kick-start for him
  9. Bagged one after game, was a good away trip last season even on a midweek night and we got stuffed. Handy for some good Wetherspoons/No1s in easy walking distance
  10. His two finishes today were different but both showed he has an eye for goal, first was a sharp strike when he'd little space and time for much of a backlift, the other was about wanting to get in the six-yard box and on the end of a cross. He's undoubtedly lightweight in this League, but later in games, when defenders tire and space appears, he'll score goals, even in a team as limited as ours.
  11. What I didn't say in my umpteen posts earlier was great support today, 14,500 was a pretty good turnout in the circumstances on last Sat before Xmas. Threatened to get a bit negative after Prince's blooper but great noise 2nd half. Bit of life still in the team, plenty still in us in the stands.
  12. Sorry folks, no idea what happened there, computer glitch, kept getting message saying it hadn't been posted, when evidently it had.
  13. Much better second half as has been said, Davies more involved in final third, others getting around him, ball being moved quicker, Moxey and Holding getting forward more. Deserved to be in front but could have been curtains a minute before we equalised. Holding did really well 2nd half, showed a lot of confidence going forward, couple of good crosses. Feeney's cross for the 2nd goal was a purler, yes he put one or two wayward ones in as usual but also a few that were right on the money. Madine's best game for me, took some manhandling off their two lumps at the back, worked hard, held up ball and brought people into play better than he has up to now Could really have done with holding on for the win, obviously, but decent game, some spirit shown 2nd half and a bit of hope that a win will come, maybe Boxing Day. NL needs to look at his stats and use Prince better. Made the most interceptions per game of any player in Championship, so move him forward and use him as holding midfielder. We've enough who could fill his spot in back four, his reading of the game and athleticism would be put to better use in a less risky position for him than centre back. P
  14. While pages of this and other similar threads have all blamed either or both of PG/ED) for our demise, there's been little or no mention of the role of the Chief Executive in all of this. This is by no means an insignificant post at a top football club, and it'd be hard to imagine that ours would have any different brief, yet Moores gets no mention at all, as though PG sits in the offices at the Macron all day directing every bit of administrative and financial business undertaken. Maybe it's because their owners were from afar and he has to have more of a profile, but I know more about Derek Shaw, Roverrs chief exec and his role with them than I do about ours.
  15. They were indeed, felt a bit of pride at how much of a racket so few made in the circumstances.Amos commented on it on Twitter, fair play
  16. A fair one though, even teams below us would have to have an off day.
  17. Dearden was no better when I was listening on way home, know he's got time to fill but must have asked SJM are we a club in crisis about three times. Lowbrow listening to say the least
  18. Some improvement 2nd half and we had them rocking for a little while but still can't see how we could beat anybody, even from the lower end of the table
  19. Too passive, too deep and too slow to press first half, Dervite on the goal prime example. Better 2nd half, bit of spirit, just no quality. Amos will be worth as much as the club with many more performances like that. Great backing from the fans, especially 2nd half when we got a head of steam up for a bit
  20. I remember very similar scenes in the 80s when we couldn't stump to sign Stuart Ripley who we'd had on loan and missiles were being thrown at the exec club.
  21. The Telegraph's article indicates he's prepared to write off 'up to £170m' and sell for as little as £20m As for Sports Shield, give them a chance, they're not Vincent Tan or the Italian at Leeds. If they've an ex player fronting them up I'd be prepared to think they've positive intentions. Either way, I'm happy that Mr Birch will do what he's been brought in for, if they're right for us he'll push it through, if not he won't and will find somebody else
  22. Our assistant manager's just remembered what it's like to be associated with a team that wins a game
