NIC, if you could stop patronising for a second, what makes you think people who have a booking history don't know season ticket holders? I know loads.
-
So you'd be happier in a select band of say 6k season ticket holders and maybe 1.5k paying on the day in a couple of years, rather than offer a few deals? Cos that's where we could be heading - unless NL can work his magic and get us straight up next season.
-
We'll see. There will undoubtedly be a few there tomorrow who are getting a ticket for 20 quid less than they were prepared to pay. I'm happy for them. I'm even happier that many hundreds more who would have been nowhere near the ground tomorrow now will be...and may, just may, be tempted back again next season (I think we can probably write this fucker off)...and go away and start telling their mates that actually there's something worth watching again. And so it starts...

Pressing 'send' to a mailing list of those with a booking history (assuming we're sufficiently organised to have such a thing, which I know is a big if) hardly seems a huge amount of effort, if we're looking at a cost benefit analysis.
-
Anyone with a booking history is pretty likely to know a season ticket holder, or know someone who knows someone. Just making them aware there was an offer on seems sensible. I'd like to think most season ticket holders will have asked around and tried to tempt lapsed fans back - with varying degrees of success. But an extra nudge couldn't have done any harm, if targeted and not bombarded.
-
How's sending an email to someone already on a mailing list a waste of time and money?
-
I don't know what you're arguing about. There'll be more there tomorrow than if there'd been no deal. No season ticket holder can be offended by the deal. And those that are can fuck off. Win win.
-
Something similar. No more than 13k. I think the Reading game and the capitulation the other night will have put a few off. Millwall will bring fuck all. We've got a team of loanees. People are sick of this season and just want it over.
-
What? Send an email advertising the offer that's on? Or the season ticket deals? Why wouldn't that be allowed?
-
Surely the club should be contacting anyone with any kind of booking history directly - as a matter of course?
-
Which will be 3k more than would have shown up otherwise. I think persuading 3k folk at any price to turn up for Millwall at home at this stage of a 4th shit season in a row should be viewed as progress. Or we could just wallow in our own misery I suppose.
-
I agree, if we'd had 11 players over the past 4 years consistently putting the effort (and ratio of decent crosses) in that Feeney does every game we'd not be where we are now. He's not Ronaldo, but then he came from Millwall on a free so he's not likely to be. People need to calm down - the number of folk round me at Blackburn moaning like fuck at every misplaced pass from him and others...kinell, get a grip.
-
Forgot about that. Still, another 3 points will make people feel a lot less twitchy.

As Mounts says in another thread, get those 5 quid tickets bought and get yourself and a mate to the game on Sat. I know it's a hard sell at the minute and this sorry season just needs to be over, but we all know someone who can be tempted along for a fiver. A good atmosphere, 3 points and we can go to Wigan full of confidence. And we can put to bed any thoughts of relegation. NLSWA.

When we win the league I'll be singing about it for ever more.
-
Pedants corner today. :-) I mean folk have got all today, half of tomorrow...and can then decide to pay on the day after that if they've not got one. I hope they've sorted their ticket machine out for anyone who does walk up - it was knackered last season and plenty missed kick off, me included.
-
Two days of sales to go yet.
-
Not bad that with a couple of days to go. Should get between 2.5 and 3k. Shame there's nothing to play for and we've no fit players.
-
I'm an exiled member these days, if that makes sense, moved back north 3 years ago.

One of the games I really regret not being at that one. Trains from London didn't work cos it was a Sunday and couldn't face driving...bad decision.
-
Leigh and Atherton badly hit. Still plenty of Wanderers round there to this day.
-
My Grandad was there too - on the Lever End though. Got home afterwards and all the women in the street were waiting outside their homes for their men and boys to come home. RIP the 33.

Yes Carlos, actual, hard, real, verifiable facts. As opposed to attempting to shout down anyone with a different view and saying how basically everything's shit and everyone's a cunt. CWP, yeah, I was calling for a boycott if things went on as they were (10 games in - 10 games of sheer ineptitude by a manager who'd been given more than enough time. As it was, the board saw the way the wind was blowing and got shut and so I didn't have to. But I make no apologies for threatening to - and calling on others to say enough was enough. Those who blindly supported DF were doing far more damage to BWFC than those threatening to stay away. The man was taking us to oblivion).
