2 be honest i wouldnt complain if gardner was picked at left back.far better than the two thats played there this season
-
HE CANT BE WORSE THAN ROBINSON play him there until the summer, if hes awful sign someone new
-
why? i think its impossible for anyone to do any worse than robinson. Total dire. The sooner people realise the whole of our defence aside from cahill is total s hite - not average, not borderline prem standard, but total s hite, the better. The reason we're shipping goals for fun you know. Playing taylor, at least until we can get shut of some of the other dross left backs we've got and get someone in proper in the summer can be no worse than playing who we've got playing now. And i dont buy into this "to say taylor could do better at LB than someone whos played there all their career is ridiculous" is nonsense. A) Taylor has played Lb a fair bit for portsmouth, would a left back from the conference whos played there all their career be better? No. So why is robinson. Clogger is the best word to describe. The sooner we sort out both full backs, centre back and centre mid the better i'll feel. I shudder to think of the thought of cahill leaving and being left with a kinght o brien combo, dear lord almighty.

Taylor to left back - the answer trust me. Get out the side Robinson

7m for scott brown is the stand out one. 700k maybe, but 7m. Get lost celtic. They want 11m for mcgeedy also whos been average everytime ive seen him. Nuts up there. Pub football

Im in bits at some of these names - how many would anybody actually want off this list?? John rooney, hahaha. Dear lord. Nuno Gomes must have ten years on me and I'm 30
-
Decent, i think i prefer Boateng from Portsmouth though......
-
Nail on the head yatesy. I dont think we're that bad of a side going fwd (up top and out wide). We're just woefully short in the middle of the pitch and at the back. Defenders and majority of the centre mids we've got are not up to it.
-
just on his personal website, want to leave him a "nice" message. cant work how to though
-
whoever they play next i hope someone snaps him 2 and ends his career. i wouldnt shed a tear
-
excuse my spelling in the topic heading by the way. saw from about 25th min live online, got highlights on now, robinson awful pass early doors noted
-
Any news on the injury? Played well tonight, should be playing. If hes ok maybe we'll see more of him now we've a manager who wants players to pass rather than just to spoil
-
one question homerjay, r u a real bolton fan or a mole?? ive only just started posting on here but have been reading comments for a cpl of years and you dont half spout some fking garbage. clueless
-
fking joke decision for that 2nd goal. fuming to be fair. gets me really annoyed decisions like that. davis was playing well too usually story at the back though isnt it
-
To be fair he did do ok on Sunday - Until he produces that week in week out i'm still putting it down to the "every dog has its day" theory
-
sure has
-
could he be worse than knight? we've got grater issues/problems than taylor. Like having awful full backs, like having an awful centre back partner for cahill (whoever plays), like having a central midfielder(s) who dont protect the back 4 properly. I also agree with the poster who said our players r static - the movement off the ball is non existant at times

Relegation Battle - Whos Going To Be Involved
tarian1979 replied to tarian1979's topic in Terrace Talk - 'Classics'
Hope so, critical month or so for Blackburn. Their next 3 home games (in no order) are hull, wigan and ourselves. They will be looking for 7 -9 points there. If they get that they will be away. 4 or less i can see them being drageed into it. -

5 teams i believe Ourselves, portsmouth, hull, wolves and burnley - tough to call West ham, although the worst team ive saw at the reebok this season, have enough home games agaisnt the lesser teams to get enough points. I see the likes of wigan and blackburn plodding to the low 40s with a cpl of games to go. -
3v0 Burnley is the important game, a must win in my eyes with only having 8 home games left (5 maybe 6 wins needed from those - i dont see us getting many away wins - and we've villa and man u to go)

The problem is our spoilers dont spoil very well................

Theres a simple answer in my view - bring Garnder in and move Taylor to left back. They should be able interchange/swap if required as both can play either roles. That way we also get to drop robinson, who is god awful, and dont have to bring in Samuel who lets face it isnt great either. That way as well you still have taylor on for set pieces. Its impossible for him to be any worse at LB than the other 2. He has played their in his career 2, he wasnt always a left midfielder We are the first team in over 30 years to go half a season without a clean sheet, the reason being that nearly everyone of our defenders isnt up to it. All four full backs - Steinsson, Ricketts, Robinson, Samuel - not good enough. O brien, shittu, knight- not good enough. We're going to be fighting to scrape 38-43 points every season with these calibre of defenders. Does anyone else notice the amount of space stenisson gives the winger - he never seems to mark close when theres a free kick on other side, cue ball being switched loads of space for winger to run at steinsson and danger. Happens nearly every game. As for the midfielders, the centre offer little protection either to the defence either. Time and time again opposing midfieldes just drive through our midfield like a knife through butter. I was one for giving muamba a chance at the start of the season, hes had more bad games than good though in my view (at home, i havent been to any aways yet though going to anfield next week). Numerous times hes out of the position. He does well when he purely man marks a player - ie Gerrard both seasons i thought he marked well, especially this season the 1st half - followed him everywhere and you could see gerrard getting annoyed. The red card gave gerrard more space. When hes got no set role, hes not good enough. Awful touch and distribution. Mccann isnt the answer, too slow, past it. Awful - he shouldnt be near the pitch. Cohen has won the ball a fair bit in many games, can certainly put his foot in. I would play him in the deeper and introduce either Mark Davies or Gardner (if Coyle doesnt like the idea of moving Taylor to left back) as well. Put the priority would be to get in a decent centre midfielder. My team Jaaskelainen Steinsson Cahill Knight Taylor Cohen M Davies Chung Young Gardner Davies Klasnic A new centre half, centre midfielder the priority in my eyes. Also a better right back, sell either ricketts or steinsson and get some1 different in.
