    Injuries

We have had a terrible run of injuries there’s no doubting that. To be fair Evatt has not bemoaned the fact… they are a fact of footballing life. We have adequate replacements though who should be bringing in more wins, but they aren’t. The point for me is, if Evatt had all his players available would they be set up and inspired enough to bring those wins in? I am far from convinced. As others have said before, something feels wrong and it is hard to put your finger on what it is.
  4. Three wins two draws for me. Port Vale, Accrington and Carlisle for the wins and Barnsley then Exeter for the draws.
  5. According to Ferguson (feel dirty just typing that) it was “Just a coming together” , what a wanker!
  6. 😂😂😂. T’Rrroverrs? All looking on in happy anticipation, waiting for Joe to finish getting his and hoping they’re next in line for a rogering.

That would have been sweet justice. Half a dozen pie eaters, confronted and outnumbered ten to one by a rapidly emptying double decker of Bowtoners! ‘Twas ever thus 😀
  8. The very place, some of the “appliances” were huge black rubber knob shaped things with like a brown rubber ball on the end, a bit like that balloon thing on the end of joke hooters. They obviously scarred my brain I’m retired now and they still bother me. What in Gods name could they have been? 🤓🙂
  9. I think it was the Burnden Tackle shop definitely misnamed. I used to get all my fishing gear there. Wasn’t there also a weird shop called Openshaw’s? it had “surgical” appliances and things in the window….they looked very odd to me a mere lad of ten or eleven. WTF were they about. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Sadly we won’t, I think we could comfortably take four times our allocation, it’s the league we are in. Their failure to allocate the whole side of the ground(which they could quite easily) only adds another reason to my intense dislike of the club and the town.
  11. Cheers P! Hope you’re good mate, any plans to visit Blighty soon. Met up with Janet over here the other week 👍😀
  12. Don’t think anyone’s Don’t think anyone’s mentioned this yet, but they didn’t arrive in Bolton until about 3.20 pm because their football special was delayed (train delays happened in the olden days too). All the Bolton fans were engrossed in the game when all hell broke loose (they’d sneaked in the Lever End undetected, mobbed up and then piled in!) They enjoyed a little success too….they showed a lot of bottle. The Bolton lads then got organised, hard uns to the front, made a few attempts at getting through the police, then succeeded. Luton scattered and many of them spent the rest of the game trying to get war paint off their faces before they got picked off….many failed.
  13. It’s a play on words. It’s like a leaving do but instead of one going there’s too. 👍🤓
  14. Tenderhooks and damp squids don’t matter if you’re a card shark and you play your cards right. 👍😉
