  1. Im not sure about being the most exciting team currently, but in gerenal, we are a pretty exciting club to support. In my 19 years, I can barely remember a season that was a non-event, be it winning promotion, cup finals, cup runs in the lower leagues, play-offs, relegation, relegation battles, europe, theres rarely a dull moment. If I could have picked who I support, Id have struggled to pick anyone more exciting.
  2. It aint a surprise, but I dont think it has anything to do with him being at city, things were not much different when he was at Inter, I think it is alot to do with the type of player, and the type of person he is. Many people end up doing much worse things in their career, for alot less than 100k+ a week, its not an excuse. He is childish. You are right about city though, its their own fault, he has turned out exactly as I expected, and throwing money at things will only get you so far.
  3. If we can beat stoke, that final whistle will probably be the single greatest moment in my life. Ive been going for 19 years, and always dreamt about what it would be like to see us in the final, more so than winning the league, more than anything. I certainly wouldnt rather we lost in the semi. If we beat stoke and lost 10-0 to city or united, id still take it every time. An fa cup final, it would be a privelege to be there to see Bolton take part in one.
  4. He is an idiot, Ive got no time for him. It wont be long before his ego messes up his career, and the sooner the better. He thinks he is the best ever, is not interested in the team, and he strikes me as someone that success is not worthwhile unless he has done it all himself. Would not want him anywhere near my team.
  5. Like has been said, if it had been in a national newspaper, perhaps it would seem a bit ungrateful, but it is a geordie paper, aimed at geordie folk, and I take it with a pinch of salt. He did a great job for us, was good value, both sides got alot out of it in the end.
  6. If he can get some games under his belt at Cardiff, stay fit, id have him back. He was not up to much when he arrived, but got better and was doing a decent enough job. Decent squad player, decent backup to Robbo.
  7. All sorted, block 538, took a while, but it was expected. Happy days! Have you checked your spam email? Thats where my confirmation email ended up.
  8. Good news He is going to be crucial to the success of the end of season run in.
  9. Just going to take the train to london, its not getting to wembley, more for home games, where they turn out just as expensive as away games, so I tend to go to alot more away games these days. I enjoy away days more, so when its going to cost alot either way, I always tend to go for them.
  10. Yeh perhaps the club would do that, and I would hope they do. Im pretty sure it would just be 1 per ST in the final, so even after that, with a likely allocation of 25k, im pretty sure buying a ST now would still guarantee you one.
  11. That Grabbi fella for Blackburn was pretty expensive and a complete waste of space if i remember. Did he even manage a goal?
  12. Pierluigi Casiraghi. May 1998, ?5.4m, Lazio to Chelsea. 10 games, 1 goal. Novemeber 1998, career ending injury. Seth Johnson for Leeds form Derby was also pretty dire.
  13. I find it really hard to figure him out. One game he can look like a star in the making, the next, leave you wonder why you ever believeed that. He looks full of so much promise, if only he can gain some composure on the ball. I really believed with time that would improve and he would be a class act, however I have my doubts now. He is top class at getting his foot in and disrupting play, winning the ball back. Howvever, in his time here his distribution has not improved. If he can sort that part of his game out, fast, he should be replacing the likes of Barry in the England squad. Decent player, good ball winner, has work to do on the ball, but it is in an area he should be able to improve and become a regular for years to come.
  14. Ahh, this would be such a tempting trip, if I could visit anywhere, it would be Texas! Dont know whther to take a punt on this or wait for the Cardinals to visit either the Cowboys or Texans.
  15. Id love some shared travel costs, unfortunatley, I dont have a car, so I always take the train or head back over to Carlisle first if im going down with me dad. Would be interesting to see if there any up in the tyneside area that go down often though, see if we could arrange somethin in the future.
