Yeah, I've never had any reason to grumble, even out here in zone 4 and it seems to get better. Last time I went to Manchester from Bolton we were on some sort of train bus with bench seats, and despite giving ourselves loads of time, almost missed the train to London due to one cancellation and then the train just stopping between deansgate for nearly half an hour. If that was down here there would be a national media outcry.

Got to love theb Thameslink or actaully South Eastern. Train into town every 15 minutes throughout the day and runs until late. London's transport networks are great - the buses are something else, never wait more than 2 minutes to go anywhere it seems!

Funny, I only bumped into loads of northerners on Friday. And loads of Irish (and a lovely family from Israel) do love a good gig conversation. Nah we're a friendly bunch, helped a women leave as she was feeling sick and took her to a paramedic, sorted out someone getting to their hotel as they were lost and led a bunch of Yorkshire men to meet their mate in a pub we were going to. Friendly as. Oh and bought this kid a beer as he was coppering up for a 6 quid can of peroni behind me in the queue for the bar. Gig good samaritan.
