II can articulate what powers the UK will get back but really can't be arsed for the benefit of someone who dismisses the concerns and views of 52% of the people that voted as being merely stupid........

All this does is show the strength of feeling people had that voted out. It was clear from the beginning of campaigning that a vote out meant out of the Customs Union and out of the Single Market. It does show people were prepared to take a potential financial hit to get back powers they obviously valued higher. As for economic forcasts, they were bleak about what would happen if we voted out, we voted out and nothing truely dreadful happened. If we leave the Customs Union and Single Market there will more than likely be an economic downturn, but only if nothing else changes. These forcasts do not factor in new deals which will be no doubt struck to alleviate the impact of leaving the EU.

Depends on the strength of the view held by the individual and what "poorer" actually is. Also if people are actually going to be poorer is anyone's guess at the moment.......
