  1. Where's settings on the web version? All I see is a blue blob with red on it, a search icon Get the App, Log in and Sign up.
  2. I struggle to hold my phone up for a whole phone call let alone 90 mins, lad must be of super-human strength....
  3. Mike Carter scored a wonder goal against Spurs I think, in the Embankment End, must have beat 10 men, even the ref was applauding on the way back to the centre circle, never forgot it.
  4. The equaliser against Blackpool at home in a 2-2 - Mavis I think it was....
  5. I think this sort of thing does wonders for the status of the club, reminds me of Super White Nights in the late seventies, anyone every attend one? I went to one of two, at the Roundhouse in Halliwell where I lived. I remember trying to speak to big Sam, he was so quiet and reserved I said to myself, he'll never make a manager. I got pissed for the first time and can distinctly remember trying to negotiate my way through the myriad of chairs wobbling away on two pints of cider....
  6. Think I know, I'll not give it away so early, I did google to confirm who I thought it was, pretty convinced....
  7. I remember that game, I was there too with my Dad and Bro (two separate people, not the same one; I'm not a Wigginer) - draw? 0-0 or 1-1? It was a hot day, for sure, can't remember how we got there, must have been in one of my Dad's endless stream of Austin Maxi's and Princesses that didn't last a season.. 1. Piston rod through engine block Watford away, left car on M6 Rugby turnoff, got to game via train, last something like 3-0 and got a lift back on official supporters coach. Proper supporting that, break down, get to game anyhow, no thoughts of going home, or how we'd ge back after game. 2. Clutch failure Notts Forest Away, Cup, 3-3, cracking game, stayed over at a mates in Hucknall, got car fixed. 3. Clutch failure again, same car, different match, Threlwall Viaduct, no memory of which game it was. 4. Mates car, Triumph Dolomite, broke down outside Pedro's on Halliwell about 200 yrs from his house. I have no memory of which actual mate, the game involved (think it was Burnley away) or whether we ever got there (pretty sure me did). Spoke to some lads once in a motorway service station cadging lifts after a game at Chelsea, they'd clubbed together and bought a scrapper car just to get them there and back, parked up in Chelsea and couldn't find the car after, so bummed it home. None of them was sure even what make of car it was. Those were the days eh, could get away with murder, dangerous vehicles, no MOT, no tax, six pints to help you drive better, can see road through hole in floor, heaters never working, impossible to exceed 60 mph, bald tyres, quick prayer before starting car.
  8. I remember one trip (in a car) to Leyton Orient, one of the first Sunday games, something like 11:30am kick off, and you couldn't pay on the gate, entry was only via production of the match programme, a rouse to get round the Sunday trading laws I think. Anyway, M1 around Luton we saw snow, driving rain then perfect sunshine in the space of about 30 mins, pottering along in the snow, then a tranny van full of Wanderers fans zooms past at about 60mph, skids, spins around in front of use about three times and ends up on the hard shoulder facing the wrong way. 5 mins later snow has all gone replaced with driving rain, same tranny van goes whistling past us about 80mph, those brave boys. Fearless (or pissed) Game was 2-2, think we went 2-0 down, Dave Hoggan scored both, he ended up marrying one of the Routledge twins who I went to school with, Maxine I think. Can't actually remember the name of the other one but they were identical. The twins, not the names.
  9. I remember being first on the open terrace at Ninian Park with my mate Keith Makey circa 82 sat on terrace waiting for it to fill up, full view of car park. Was Feb or so can't remember so pretty cold but not bitter, tranny van pulls up in car park and literally 20 Wanderers fans piled out Benny Hill style and immediately piss against all four sides of it clouding it in a huge mist of ale-produced piss-steam. Memories! At this point I have to say neither of us drank and earlier in the day we'd been to Dai Woodham's scrapyard at Barry Island to look at the remaining rusting British Railways steam engines still there waiting to be cut up. SAAAADDDD!!!
  10. Someone's already said it upthread, not wanting to totally give it away just yet....
  11. Why are there Liverpool fans in the Lever?
  12. According to the-wanderer.co.uk, this; "This seems to belong to thesaturdayman.com, which seems a pleasant place to ponder the past. For this pic it says February 1967; the only home games that month were Ipswich (Sat 11th, 1-1, Div 2, attendance 12,565) and Arsenal (Sat 18th, 0-0, FA Cup 4th Round, attendance 31,870)." My money's on 18th Feb. 1967, vs Arsenal FA Cup!
  13. Talking to a guy now who knows Stig Tøfting very well, comes in our local though I've never seen him, says he's a total nutter! He said he can snap just like that, especially when on the pop. Apparently too when a boy Stig returned home to find both his parents dead on the floor, shot themselves, kin 'ell, no wonder he's cracked. He's a pundit on Danish telly on EPL and Danish Prem. Also more ex-Wanderer Danes news, Per Frandsen is an agent in France, Henrik Pedersen has a pub called 'The Free Kick' in Silkeborg, no info yet on Michael Johansen or Claus Jensen!
  14. Causes probs in the office here, we have a Stig and when the Danish lads shout 'Stig!' I say 'What?' or more accurately 'Hvad?' - as I am Stephen, aka Steve aka Ste in the UK..... Of course it's not me they are asking for.... 'Hvordan staver du det?' I say of course... I bet it's not pronounced 'Tøfting' either given the Danish language's propensity for missing out the middle letter and changing the sound of the last ones...
  15. As a matter of interest 'Stig' in Danish is pronounced 'Ste'...
  16. Why do I get logged put every like 3 seconds?
  17. Kin ell, how many chances was that in like 2 seconds!! And how old is the SU keeper? 12?
  18. Working now, no sound (or no crowd) though.....
