Agreed. after a shakey start, he's shown his quality in recent games. Plus, he now seems settled in the squad, whereas a new player may take 4 or 5 games to really gel with the team. If we only have the finances for one of the two, its surely got to be Diouf?

apparently Birmingham are about to sign Salif Diao from Liverpool as a replacement for Savage, which would leave Faye free for us to after.

 

I onder why anybody would want Diao though, he really is piss poor.

 

Agree with all the above comments though, if we have any money available, then we should use it to try and sign Diouf. The only problem I see is Dioufs' reported ??40K per week, we surely wouldn't be offering that!

maybe he's piss poor for liverpool, but i think i'd rather have him than amdy faye, seeing as they are both senegalese internationals yet diao is 1st choice, i think...

Tell you what - if we do sign Faye and Diouf we'll only have half a team this time next year when the African Nations kicks off.

didnt jay jay only miss 2 or 3 of our matches cos of the afro nations tho? and that was the very maximum as nigeria got to final

tho if kakus missin doesnt sound like that will be much of a great loss! We might struggle gettin rid of him he dont sound up to it and hes got 2 and a half years left on his contract yet
