October 23, 2025Oct 23 Just saw this pop up on my feed. As good a place as any to post it seeing as it was in the midst of our tippy-tappy era - although admittedly this seemed to be in direct contrast to tippy-tappy and if we’d played more often like we did in this 2nd half, we may well be in the Championship now! But a very good Evatt Bolton day. Seems bonkers to say this - but I celebrated this goal as much as I did Nolan’s/Rickets Old Trafford winning goals!

Stuff like that is why Evatt wanted rid of Dapo, any self expression, creativity etc were the "enemy" of "his" tippy-tappy style. He thought he was a genius and had discovered a sort of football cheat code, he thought we were all idiots for wanting a plan b. They thought that if they just recruited the right players that they could pass teams to death, that in the aggregate they'd get enough points to go up. It was nonsense, that spark of brilliance is what gets you those extra points each season by getting a goal when you didn't deserve it. Edited October 23, 2025Oct 23 by Zog1

I was there The first half was a stinker but a great come back Dapo started at LWB Second half there was a reshuffle that put him further forward and we were miles better for it
