Have you voted yet?

Featured Replies

Apparently 57,000 Iraqis were legible to vote in Sweden and roughly 31,000 did! And there were thousands in England as well.

Can anyone vote then?

Who you going for?

Apparently in Sweden only if you can write neatly. Does that apply here ?

If the UK-based Iraqi ex-pats wish to vote in their Election, then tell them all to f??ck off back to Iraq to vote. Once they're there, they can and stay and live under the "democratic" government they'll have voted for.

Traf,

couldn't give a XXXX about being PC.

Well fortunately that isn't the case otherwise the BNP would be in power after the next general election.

=D> Is that meant to be a deliberate mistake or is it a genuine attempt to amuse? Cos if it is it's very good. :D

Sure you'd agree it better if not all Iraqis "f??cked off" back to Iraq.

If they want to partake in their own country's election, then they should go back. Otherwise it's of no relevance to them.

You could use that argument for the thousands of expat Brits eligible to vote in our election.

may be so. but are ex-pat Brits claiming political asylum overseas?

Why should pensioners seeing out their twilight years on the Costa Del Whatsit be entitled to vote? Nowt to do with them. They've chosen to leave, they shouldn't have a say.

do they still get their pensions sent out there?

Probably not no. Its not just about pensioners though. Plenty of professionals working abroad all over the world e.g Dubai, America, Australia are eligible to vote by proxy. Just highlighting a possible flaw in the logic.

Yes pensioners can still receive state pension abroad.

On the subject of going back to Iraq - would you cos I f??cking wouldn't. I did cross my mind at the time of winning the war that 000's of asylum cases are now sorted. Not really turned out that way though has it.

This Iraqi election is bringing unrest to our country now. The Oldham manager was attacked on his way to today's game.

Round the fuckers up and deport them.

Taken from the bbc website:

Oldham manager Brian Talbot has been hurt after being caught up in a clash outside a polling station set up in Manchester for the Iraq election.

Talbot was driving to Boundary Park for Sunday's FA Cup tie against Bolton when he became embroiled in a skirmish between rival groups of Iraqis.

He was attacked after accidentally hitting an Iraqi with his car.

A mob surrounded his vehicle, smashing its windows and leaving him with a neck injury and cuts and bruises.

The fighting had broken out between voters and about 200 Arab Iraqis protesting against the election.

Iraqis clash at polling station

An Oldham spokesman told BBC Greater Manchester Radio: "Brian was very shaken up and his car was in a right state.

"But he has made it to the game and he just wants to get on with the match now.

"He was told he did not have to come if he did not feel up to it but he insisted on being here."

The rival factions are fighting on British streets now, ship them all back to ragging Basra where they belong.

Cue the bleeding-hearts wet liberal do-gooders!

That'll be the "Iraqi branch of the Wanderers Supporters Club" crew.
