Kaiser Chiefs

What does everyone think? Heard the album a few times and apart from the first two tracks, Everyday I love you less and less and I predict a riot, the rest seems shite. Although it worth buying the album for those two tracks.

Want to buy a few CDs this weekend, can anyone suggest any?

Is the latest New ORder album shite?

If anyone's interested the Doves album is superb.

D Smiley not heard the Bees yet, which album should I get first?

You got the Kasabian album ? Only just got it, good listen!

Got it first week it was out. Class but does get a bit dreary if you continually listen to it everyday.

Pablo, you would know, is the Ian Brown any good and don't ragging ring me at 4.00 am when I have an interview at 9.00, its not helpful.

He blamed it on you. the night Dave higson's funeral.

He had no credit and was using my phone!

I'm tight as a gnat's chuff, so only download freebies, etc.

With that in mind, I would never recommend music for people to buy, cos if they don't like it, they'd be pissed off.

I like the KC album though, think its a grower. All of New Order sounds the same to me.

Free The Bees - The Bees (good album - not heard the other)

Who Killed The Zutons? - The Zutons

Welcome To The North - The Music

Alive & Amplified - The Mooney Suzuki

Hot Fuss - The Killers

Solarized is quality.

Any of you moshers heard the new Snoop Doggy Dog album?

Kaiserchiefs, sound like a group of bandits to me. [-(

New Oasis album aint bad either!!

All top stuff there Smiley, esp the Bees. Both Music albums are spot on too!

Saw the Kaiser Chiefs at the Academy in Manchester last Sat night and they were quality live - very good gig! Good album too despite the hype nearing Franz Ferdinand (whom I despise with a passion) status!

Looking forward to Kasabian at the Academy next Tuesday too

El Presidente anyone?

100mph, not a bad tune that, top video

Kaiser Cheifs - not a bad album, but sometimes, you know how you see a lead singer, think he's a c??nt, and then you hear them in a different light - well that's the case with me and KC

and Razorlight

he's a red ginger too

I don't like Solarized anywhere near as much as Golden Greats

Kasabian - hit and miss, brilliant in places, really catchy, shite in others

Killers - totally passed me by, didn't get it at all. I think comparing them to the Smiths made me expect something they just aren't. At all.

Kings of Leon new album is the best I've heard in recent times

kaiser chiefs are shite, boring as anything live too

nearly as bad the the bravery and the killers, which is really saying something

ya canny beat a bit of abba!

waterloo, how do you know ya killed the war, da da da

Got the Music The Killers and Zutons.

Saw the Zutons at Virgin on Oxford Street the week before the album was released, only 40 people there. Not convinced by them though.

The Music - First album superb nto really to the latest one much. Think I'll be buying the Bees and Ian Brown unless anyone has any better ideas.

The Music "Welcome To The North" - Very Good

Bloc Party "Silent Alarm" - Class

James Blunt "Back To Bedlam" - Chilled

Embrace "Out Of Nothing" - Superb

Seeing Kasabian on Sunday :D

oh and a new up an coming band is releasing its first CD in May...

whateverend - "thrown from Holland"

didnt think it would take you long tyler before you had to comment on this so called music

I forgot to mention Bloc and Embrace.

Not heard Bloc Party but people with similar taste rate it.

Embrace can't make my mind up whether to give it a go.

Took a chance on Stereophonics, as I thoguht only two good tracks on it.

Smiley, whats your opinion of Bloc Party and Embrace?

Anyone else got an opinion?

IMO:

Embrace - top band esp 1st and 4th albums - the middle 2 were very average though. Great live band - impossible not to get involved!

Bloc party album not bad but it doesn't stand out for moi...

Venison Mayhem are a band on the up; as well you might want to look out for The Vicar's Two Short Planks - deffo ones for the future as well. Despite what everyone else says I'm not convinced by Bogwank or Ewan Hughes' Army buy I guess only time will tell. Kettle Chips are always good value and I've recently seen a couple of cracking gigs by Valerie's Nostril (they supported Fuckface and the Microcephalics at DeMontfort Hall recently). I'm hearing lots of good things about Spill the Beans and Bilbo's Dildo's but I cant say I've seen them play yet.

On the local front here I'm sad to report that Mansfield band Origami have finally folded.

Right unless anyone has any better ideas tomorrow I am buying:

The Bees

Embrace

Ian Brown

Bloc Party - taking its time with me. Listened to it about 4 times. Starting to grow but didn't grab me by the knackers first time around.

Embrace - funnily enough, never bothered with them in the past. Got the last CD and it was an office fave at the back end of last year. Probably only bothered with it once this year.

Ambulance Ltd - LP - that is one to look out for. A real mixed bag of tunes. I liked this from the 2nd play onwards.

Stereophonics - hate them with a passion.

The Futureheads - heard big things about these guys. Again another CD that hasn't hit me around the head with greatness. I'll give it another go.

Listened to The Bravery a couple of times - but like ZK pointed out - when you actually see a band - and their naff image/hairstyles, it kind of puts you off the music. Luckily, I'd not seen KC before hearing them. Having since seen them on VH2, got to say the singer looks a bit queer!

Plus those cunts are now officially Wolves fans never mind the Starycats quiffs.

Steophonics was an aberration I have managed to avoid them for 7 years and decide I'll buy this album. However, you got to admit Dakota is a top tune.

I saw kaiser chiefs play years ago.

I think they lost 1-0 to mamelodi sundowns :D
