January 8, 200620 yr Indeed. If you sign a contract and accept the money and security it offers, you should be prepared to honour it.
January 8, 200620 yr we'll see what happenes when Newcastle offer ??2m and then Sam resigns.. if he wants to go, he'll go.
January 8, 200620 yr I think he's waiting for the United job! Rumour on Tyne Side is that Martin O'Neil will replace tosspot Souness. Martin O'neil's wife is now on the road to recovery after her illness so he's prepared to get back into the hot seat. I can't see him going to Newcastle anyhow, he turned them down once already!
January 8, 200620 yr "The only way I would be prepared to consider allowing Sam to leave the club - and he has three years left on his contract - is if the England job came up." or if Sam wanted to leave.....
January 8, 200620 yr "The only way I would be prepared to consider allowing Sam to leave the club - and he has three years left on his contract - is if the England job came up." or if Sam wanted to leave..... Then Newcastle would have to pay Bolton for having him, as well as paying off sourpuss which will amount to a fair amount of money
January 8, 200620 yr My point is that whatever Gartside says, he is fairly impotent in the decision making process. Ok there will be compensation, however, it will all boil down to whether Sam wants to leave or not (assuming Newcastle want him)

If so, do you know something that both WW and Garty's wife don't. His hair is broon, as is Nooky Broon, every Geordies' favourite drink. My hair is black with quite a bit of grey and my favourite drink is Sarsaparilla. Sarsaparilla is named after an ex-Newcastle player too. Unfortunately it's hard to find nowadays, so I tend to drink Vimto on my long train journeys. Traf, the fog on the Tyne is all mine, all mine.
