February 2, 200620 yr Sam's favourite, think he needs his head examined if he wanted to... 1) no money 2) ageing shitty squad 3) inpatient chariman 4) ruin his England chances 5) would have to build from the bottom up!
February 2, 200620 yr Sam to Newcastle? No way - I expect Shepherd will go for a big name foreigner like Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool have got. Why would Allardyce go up there? Big club - yes, but they're an awful club to manage. I don't imagine Freddy Shepherd is a person you'd like to employ you. PB
February 2, 200620 yr Sam's favourite, think he needs his head examined if he wanted to... 1) no money: He would be given plenty in the summer, like all other Newcastle managers 2) ageing shitty squad: they said that about us. 3) inpatient chariman; granted, but if Sam's good enough, that won't matter 4) ruin his England chances:has no chance anyway, not liked at/by the FA 5) would have to build from the bottom up!: just like his remit at Bolton I actually think with Sam in charge, Newcastle could re-establish themselves as a major force in English Football.
February 2, 200620 yr I think he could make them into a decent team again but here's a message for Fat Freddy " HANDS OFF BIG SAM "
February 2, 200620 yr Author I would never doubt Sam would do a great job up there but why would he want to resurrect a club again like he did with us? It takes a lot of time and if he sticks to his retirement plans, hasnt long to take them where they want to be. I will still [-o< however
February 2, 200620 yr He wouldn't have the time to re-establish them. The super-fickle chairman up there would be getting the P45 ready when the fans start moaning (and ALL football fans are great at complaining). Not even Sir Allardyce could turn that club around in less than 2 years, and he'd get no longer than a couple of year up on Tyneside. That job is worse than being in charge of Man City - Sam will know that already. PB
February 2, 200620 yr Fat phil wont let fat freddy talk to Sam! FACT! So toon will have to give us a shed load of money!!!
February 2, 200620 yr Sam's favourite, think he needs his head examined if he wanted to... 1) no money 2) ageing shitty squad 3) pussy of a chariman the top 3 same as here
February 2, 200620 yr Author you adjusted 1 and i wouldnt call ours a shitty squad. Not necassarily ageing in a few places now: Hunt OB Nolan Dioufy Jansen Davies Tal Ben Ricky Faye Vaz Te
February 2, 200620 yr i actually feel sick at the thought of sam being named newcastle manager... come on phil, fcuk it, lets shit or bust, give him 20m to prepare transfers for the summer...
February 2, 200620 yr If I was in Sams position and was not a BWFC fan....I would take the Newcastle job :-# Newcastle have more chance long term of winning major trophys season after season.... Before you have a go at me for the last comment......blame Casino!! http://www.wanderersways.com/forum/viewtop...pic.php?t=22202
February 2, 200620 yr The Newcastle job is better than the Bolton job: FACT. impatient fans, impatient chairman, loads of politics in the boardroom, loads of politics in the dressing room, shearer hovering in the background a disillusioned Owen to deal with, god knows how much debt, brilliant job that traf.
February 2, 200620 yr Better than the Bolton job? They sack every manager who's got the bollocks to take the job on, the Newcastle job is amongst the worst in the country that you can go for. And I imagine Alan Shearer would be talking to the chairman behind the managers back on a daily basis. He won't go to the barcodes. PB
February 2, 200620 yr though it make take years, winning the league is a distinct possibility at toon, FACT! he could never do that at bolton...unfortunalty
February 2, 200620 yr come on phil, fcuk it, lets shit or bust, give him 20m to prepare transfers for the summer... Stop it please !
But Big Sam has always gone on and on about fans through the turnstiles. He will get that for cert at Newcastle. And when he turns around the clubs fortunes and brings them silverware in the next 2 seasons - he'll be a God up there! He'll be paid 2x what he gets with us and HE WILL HAVE A TRANSFER BUDGET! He's going FACT!
February 2, 200620 yr OK lets say he does go to Newcastle, the thing is no one really knows what he's thinking (.... well apart from 'I wish they would sack the swedish git now and I will take over the England job P/Time and do my best to win the World Cup, Mike Bassett syle...), apart from that we dont know whats in his head, but who next for BWFC?
February 2, 200620 yr "Allardyce would be a big mistake. He's had a few good seasons but never proved himself at the very top - he's in the same bracket as Curbishley, Moyes and O'Neill. It would be a sideways move from Souness. We need genuine class like the German, the Frenchman or even the Swede!" http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...toid=2123932017
February 2, 200620 yr Regardless how many managers they have gone through, Sam would probably back himself. He is not the type of guy who would think he would get sacked, and to be honest I dont think he would bother to much if his contract is a long one on good money. Regardless of how he does at Newcastle he would get another job if he wants. The only thing that will keep Sam at the Reebok is his loyalty to a contract. He didnt honour it at County so he may not here!! I think its setup for SVG to take over at Newcastle to be honest in the summer.
February 2, 200620 yr I Think Martin o'neil will get the job. which one? Newcastle, Bolton or England?
February 2, 200620 yr Few wise words Another former Newcastle player, Kevin Gallacher, said the expectations of fans were unrealistic and their impatience made the manager's job harder. "Fans have got to realise the club is in a transitional period," he told Radio Five Live. "At Bolton, Sam Allardyce was given a 10-year contract and that gave him stability to get things up and running - he had a plan and has been able to apply it without pressure of getting sacked every day. "Two seasons isn't enough to conjure up a new squad, get them together and be challenging to win things."
Sam's favourite, think he needs his head examined if he wanted to...
