Don't know who you lads had commentating up there but we had that thick coont Andy Townsend. What a brain dead southern shandy swilling tw@t he is. Reckoned Davies should have had a straight red for an intentional elbow! B0ll0cks.

That would be ex-'boro player Andy Townsend wouldn't it? An unbiased opinion I guess.

5live & SSN (Steve Claridge) both said it was accidental.

it was clearly accidental, but there part of me wishes it wasnt, that bobo coont deserved it, and also, if it wasnt accidental, then davis should audition for corrie, as he made it look very accidental

'Boro still have to come to the Reebok yet.

HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF IT, THEN ONE OF THEIR PLAYERS GRABBED HOLD OF HIM AND HE STARTED TRYING TO GET FREE.

ALL HE NEEDED WAS A STONE ISLAND JACKET AND A BURBERRY CAP, I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO BE BOUNCING ON THE SPOT NEXT.

KEVIN DAVIES insists his clash with Emanuel Pogatetz during Wanderers' 4-3 defeat at Middlesbrough was purely accidental.

An aerial challenge in the closing stages of the game saw Davies inadvertently catch Pogatetz with a flailing elbow, but television replays confirmed the clash was unintentional.

Pogatetz was booked two minutes from time after launching a furious broadside at one of referee Howard Webb's assistants as blood poured from his face.

But Davies, who himself takes plenty knocks from opponents, stressed he had no intention of deliberately hurting the Austrian defender.

The Wanderers striker said: "I would never hurt anyone intentionally and if the referee felt it was intentional then he would have sent me off.

"It's a physical game and you take your knocks.

"Whatever happens, happens but my eye was on the ball all the time.

"Obviously the linesman and the referee have not punished me and his reaction is a bit embarrassing for him.

"There were a few handbags out there, he got booked and I find it all a bit embarrassing.

"You take your knocks and you get on with it. "It was all a bit exaggerated because it's not as if you're going to start fighting on the pitch and get sent off."

Davies admitted his disappointment at the reverse defeat and felt Wanderers should have come away with at least a point having drawn level at 3-3 from 3-1 down.

Davies added: "We fought our way into the game and at 3-3 we should be looking to shut up shop.

"We got hit with a sucker-punch and it's disappointing to leave here with nothing.

"You don't expect to lose a game after scoring three goals away from home.

"But without the ball we didn't keep our shape too well and they found it easy to play around us.

"Today was the big game for us because we felt that we needed to come here and get at least a draw, if not a win.

"We've got nothing but we have to put it behind us and start preparing for this weekend."
