Time to let go?

For years like many others on here i have followed BWFC all over the place and spent bucket loads of money in the process. I've had a great time, its been my main social life. In the pub at 12am etc....stay over at many away games etc...

To offset that i have been aware that it gradually takes over your life and becomes the subject for many family rows where you are so upset when we lose and it spoils your whole weekend. On the upside when we win it has the opposite effect.

I have made the decision that from next year i am not renewing my s/ticket and my sons s/ticket. BWFC have had too much influence on my life for the last 10 years. I have a daughter and partner who suffer. Its time to let go.

Yeah i will still go but on my terms and not on Sky TV's terms with riduclous kick off times and last minute changes. This way it will cease to be a way of life. I will not feel obligated to go because i have already paid for my s/ticket.

If its a 3pm kick off an saturday count me in both home and away. If its not then count me out.

By making some form of a stance then i am already starting to feel more in control.

Ah. I feel better now thats off my chest.

Youve seen through the above drivel then.

"Its either me or the football" was the real reason.

Then coming home to help the wife with the tea, washing the dishes, watching saturday night bilge on TV, then having a cocoa, before trudging off to bed. :D
For years like many others on here i have followed BWFC all over the place and spent bucket loads of money........... blah blah feckin' blah!!!!

Kick off times are a pisser but not worth jacking in going to the match for. Some on here have been going to the match longer than they have known their other half???s. They knew the rules when entering in to the relationship so balls to ???em. Like Mounts said it's the thin edge of the wedge. Her-in-doors should know her place, and you should know better captainmed.

We'll pretend that this whole thing never happened so lets have no more of this silly talk.

I will never, ever stop going watching the Wanderers! Never! It's a number of hours away from the shit at home and a time to get rid of stresses built up over the week! Albeit sometimes frustrating, mad and sad! It's still worth it!

Her indoors does know her place my freind.

The main point that i am making i suppose is that I/ME am not willing to be pissed about by Sky TV spending my hard earned money when there are other more pleasant ways of enjoying the SAME experience (IE. In a pub full of lads having a beer with your mates).

I am not and never have been one of these people who believes in giving money to the club to invest etc.. Clubs never have done and never will give a toss about the support as money evapoutares out of the club and game to pay for the players ferraris.

Like i have said i am now doing it on my terms. Nobody elses....

Football has been going the wrong way for years and its probably taken me too long to realise it.
