Guest Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I think it???s only fair to let you all know why I hate Sam Allardyce so much. Don???t get me wrong, his style of football (just for you NB) is an insult to the great players of the past who knew how to pass (Claus Jensen, Tony Kelly, Stuart Storer etc) and I will not enjoy my football again until Allardyce packs his bags. But my hatred for the man goes deeper than just his style of football as I was actually unfortunate enough to once meet the guy. It???s the Summer of 2001 and a friend of a friend has a BBQ and I get an invite. I arrive fashionably late to find Sam Allardyce has also blagged an invite. While I???m not personally introduced to him, I hear every word he says due to his fat Brummie mouth. He clearly thinks he is ???the man??? and wants everyone to know it. That was bad enough, but the defining moment that shaped my forum career happened as the food was served. There were a couple of large BBQ???s at the front of the garden and people formed an orderly queue, probably with about 30 people in it. But Fat Sam couldn???t wait, he marched down to the front of the queue, pushed in, took more than his quota and then walked back past the queue with a big grin on his face holding his hotdogs aloft like they were the World Cup. From that moment I have hated Sam Allardyce. Dear oh Dear.... How boring are you constant moaner , groaner...... You must suffer with PMT !! Ive met Sam.... he's lovely , a gent very polite ...... Wouldnt give a shit if he wanted an extra hotdog or 2
aloverofbeer Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 sam can have as many hot dogs as he likes. I dont see why that needs to be discussed on a messageboard. he has always been very polite from my experience of him. sam is a massive asset for our club. some people should really think back to where we were 10 - 15 years ago. without the work of bruce rioch and laterly sam we could well still be watching players of a similar ilk to tony kelly and and not nolan, stelios, davies, etc etc. In sam I trust.
Guest Biff Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Sam is not the great guy everybody is suggesting. MountSkipper and myself "met" him in Portugal and know different. I neither know nor care whether Nat's tale is true but you are all missing the subtle amusing bits. eg arriving fashionably late.
Traf Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I don't dispute that Sam might not be a "nice" person, but I thought he was employed to get results for our team. In the whole, he has done his job well. F??ck off Natasha. You were mildly amusing, now you're like my first wife: irritating and whiney. You don't want to be like her: she's now under my patio.
