Bolton fans never cease to amaze me. I???ve read some crap on the various BWFC forums over the last couple of years but the stuff being written today has rendered me almost speechless.

 

Apparently we signed a player today called Nicolas Anelka. He was a good player a few years back but since he told Arsenal to f-off he???s jumped from one sinking ship to another.

 

Don???t get me wrong, I welcome the signing of Anelka as he???s obviously better than nothing which was how it was looking. I don???t even care that the club have spent a ridiculous sum on the player, if they want to flash the cash then let them get on with it.

 

But the way some of you are talking you???d think Anelka was going to single handedly win the Premiership for us. FFS chaps, the guy is a walking timebomb. As soon as his brothers have spent his signing on fee they???ll be touting him round every European club to get another move. For all Fat Sam???s trumpeting about what a great man-manager he is, he has no chance of getting anything more than half a season out of Anelka, by Christmas he???ll be looking to move somewhere else, probably for a fraction of what we paid for him.

 

So if you want to wet yourselves over the signing of Anelka then go ahead, it???s a free country. But to me he???s just one semi-decent player who is notorious for upsetting the dressing room and doesn???t even know what loyalty means.

 

If he was as good as you lot are making out why weren???t bigger clubs than us making an offer?
