As the planes hit the towers it was 18 years and a day after Tony Caldwell hit 5 against Walsall. One for the conspiracy theorists methinks :-k

that was the season where most of the lads my age, moved to the Lever end seats, there must have been only 1000 of us in there that day, but did we make a noise.

Edited by Mounts Kipper

my season ticket that season was 48 quid

I was at the game but one of my main memories of the day is Bolton getting a mention from Bob Wilson on MOTD - in their VERY brief summary of the lower leagues (why does that not happen now??) they mentioned him getting 5 and being an electrician. "Obviously a live wire" says Bob. Hmmm. What are you doing now Bob? Mind you, what is Tony doing now????

As far as I remember there were 11 players playing for each side that day. Two of those players were wearing 9 (1 for each tower) Coincidence? I think not. You could be on to something Satan.

Not forgetting there was probably 2 x number 11's too!

It was all the work of aliens - the signs were in a Red Dwarf episode from the 80's.

Let me explain for those who don't know.

The explosions and carnage caused at the trade centre were described as ''hell'' right.. the pentagon they hit was roughly the shape of an ''O'' ok.. which means''hell-O''

They hit 2 towers, ie. twice = 2 = to

The plane that crashed in the field landed near a yew tree - ''yew= you''

Therefore it was simply aliens saying " Hell-O to You".

Don't know what the fuss is about.

But when they decide to form a sentence, we should all panic.

It gets stranger!

In Word, type TONY CALDWELL in capitals and then change the font to wingdings. This happens:
