How f??cking stupid are some footballers? No wonder so many of us are drifting away from the game, when there are little c??nts like him in the limelight. If only we got offered ??55k a week

Not if they beat United to the title they do nt.

Everyone of us would take the money if we offered it, what gets me that most footballers do not come across as having a clue of just how ragging lucky they realy are.

as for ??55k per week i think young mr cole would regard that an insult even worse than feeling not wanted.

hmmm, if someone offers you 55k and somebody else says they'll double it, you take the higher offer dont you?

just wondering....

I dont agree with this.

If you were playing for Bolton, on ??20k a week, the fans loved you, you were from the Town, you were the best player....and they offerd you the biggest deal in the Clubs history, eg ??45k a week, rising to ??55k a week within 2 years, already playing for your country....already hailed as the best thing since sliced bread......then Man United come along and offerd you ??50k a week straight away....would you take it ??????

I dont agree with this.

of course you would. the only loyalty a player has is to himself and his family. yes they are paid ridiculous amounts of money however they only get this paid for a short period of time and even shorter if injury comes into play. for example when rooney left everton people were calling him wrotten BUT would everton have still paid him high wages if he broke his leg and could never play again. i think not

Would United ???

Would United ???

NO. however what i am saying is that these guys are professionals and need to make as much money as they can while they can.

For the sake of 5k a week....are you serious ??

Some players need to count the pennies so to speak, like Kev Davies, Nicky Hunt, Tony Hibbery, etc.

But Class players like Rooney ??? Come on!

For the sake of arguments, Rooney was offerd more money to stay at Everton....the time he left.

??260k a yera is a lot of money. would you pass up the chance to earn that if it meant moving? i dont think many people would. i certainly wouldnt.

I definitely would not and I can say hand on heart that is true.

As you say - when you earn that much is the extra ??5k really that important?

Greedy disloyal pigs the lot of em, suppose they are so young they don't really understand what it's like to support a team.

Its not when your getting ??5 million in total, and playing for the Club!

Its alot for 10 a penny players!

John Terry spends that much on throwing parties and buying his team mates gifts each year

So don't tell me it's a lot of money to these kids - it's peanuts. And they've never lived in the real world so they have no idea of the value of money.

Rooney is the biggest example of this.

Cue the "I dont blame him, I would have done the same" jokes.

if he got injured and never played again would get a ragging massive insurance payment.

i do not know the ins and outs of any players deal, but i am sure rooney will now be on nearer ??100k per week than ??50k.

footballers do not have a clue about loyalty they take the money, i do not have much of a problem with that it is the total lack of awareness of how lucky they are.

its still 5% of his anual wage. which is a lot. i agree that there is too much money involved and they have enough to live off but if you are used to being involved in the activities that come with this kind of money ??250k is a lot.

it is not peanuts. if we were earning that much we would not want to give up ??250k a year. it is all relative.

So you would join United for 5k a week more than what Bolton were offering ??

Thats now......3 years on. Nobody was asking him to stay at Everton for ever....surely he could/should have give his Club one more season.

yes, bigger club, silverware, next step in career isnt it?

Its not about that...if your 18....and that good then you wil get the chance to move every season.

If this is truelly how you feel, then your hypocrtits for booing all the players that left you for bigger better things....caugh caugh stubbs!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only people in football who show loyalty are the fans.

Agreed....but some of these fans become footballers...then change!
