My missus has got a shop on ebay, had it for about 2 years with no problems, I think it's as secure as you can get

how much is it up for??? :D

Very secure. More people are likely to bid on ur ebay items if they see that you have a verified paypal account.

However, expect loads of pissing around if any problems arise, its not just a quick sorry and a refund, takes a long time to settle 'disputes' as well

Bent as fcuk and full of conmen.

Paypal offers a bit of protection but not 100% and it takes ages to resolve.

Proceed with caution

Exactly, the amount of bent and fake stuff that get sold on there is shocking, I've made a fortune out of it

But Paypal is ok, bought out by e-bay a couple of years ago so the tw??ts can fleece you thrise, listing, final sale value and receiving payments

If you buy something and it does not arrive you are insured up to ??500 with paypal

Paypal itself is very secure, however...

Last year I sold two mobile phones at the same time. Both phones were sold to Nigerians. For each of these transactions I received an email from Paypal telling me that payment had been received. Stupidly I took this to be an official Paypal communication and posted off the phones.

Only a week later when I checked my Paypal acocunt did I realise the amount had not been credited to my account and realised the Paypal emails were fake.

I sent a very abusive email back, don't know why I bothered as they wouldn't give a shit!

Now I refuse to sell abroad. If you do sell, log into your Paypal account and check the funds are credited before sending anything off.

On an aside, why do people put 'HAPPY BIDDING'? What a stupid phrase.

Secure as far as I am aware, sell and buy loads but never had a problem

Big Girl City is right, always check your paypal account when getting payment to make sure its a good un

I was after shifting the 400 video's that are taking up space in my house too. Don't think I'll bother now.

Anyone selling electical goods on Ebay will get some fly by night Nigerian trying to steal it from them.

I managed to sell an early Coldplay CD for a large amount of money to some bloke from Brescia without any problems.

Same here. I thought about doing it when I moved the other week. Balls to it, the lot ended up on Blackrod tip!

Has Blackrod got a designated tip, or is it just a general dumping ground for Horridgers?

Sorry, yes, I just left it on the bypass. Them there videos'll be handy if and when they get electrickery up there. Or maybe as useful doorstops for the time being.
