I understand where you're coming from, but the club are once again in a no-win situation.

I applaud them for trying to make football more affordable and amenable, but they can't please everyone.

Means tested ticket prices, anyone?

Absolutely not.

Absolutely not.

absolutely yes

why should some OAP duffer on a nice index linked with no mortgage get his ticket cheaper than me

however, folk who can't afford it, should just stay away

Do you not mean absolutely no like myself. You are saying yes to Traf's question of mean testing there, flower. If folk can't afford it f?ck em. What about folk who can't afford fancy cars & houses. Do estate agents and car dealers do them special prices?

Also, if you're claiming unemployment or housing benefit, you shouldn't be allowed to go either. If you need to claim money to help you live, then you clearly shouldn't be frittering it away on football matches either. Same applies to pubs as well..........if you're claiming unemployment or housing benefits, you shouldn't be allowed into boozers either, if you do go in, then each drink you buy, the same equivalent amount of money should be deducted from next weeks "claim"

Great Idea, the future of your support is in that age group, its a good Idea to get them on board now!

Beat me to it.

As for people on benefits drinking in pubs all day long, go in the Flying Flute anyday & it's full of them. Dunno how they afford it, though?!

By means of theft, prostitution and shop-lifting no doubt

And by swindling the easily swindled benefits system.

Next season I will be in the bracket of 16-21 year old, but in full time education.

Do I get a junior still or a "young persons" season ticket?

Did people who were 17 previously really have to pay ?39 to see the City game, if they weren't a student?

Whoever thought that was right wants giving their cards. Glad to see the club taking the initiative here, like I said before, good to see the rotting stench of Des McBain being removed from the club.

The clue is in the 16-21 bit.

A junior is under 16.

So what your asking is next season you are 16-21 does that mean you have to get a 16-21 ticket.

Is it me? No really is it

No I know it sounds stupid, but I was always under the impression that if you were still in full-time education i.e. 6th form college, then you could still get in on a junior ticket.

But reading that back and thinking about i have noticed that I am talking sh1te and I will be buying a "young persons" season ticket next year.

Fair play to you for admitting your error! Most wouldn't.

I too thought that those still in full time education in the 16-21 year old bracket could get a junior ticket.

From the offical website:

The aim of this new category is to bridge the gap between the price of a child's ticket, and a full-priced adult's ticket for school-leavers and young adults who are not in full-time education. A young person purchasing a season ticket will be able to watch top class Barclays Premiership football match from only ?14.21 per game.

I understood the bolded comment to be a reversal, to mean that those still in full time education can get junior tickets.

Or just plain misleading? <_<
