Fa Cup 2007/08

Grounds will be fcuking empty

Looks like 7 live TV games per round, its now gone beyond a joke

"The next four-year cycle of TV rights kicks off in the summer of 2008 and includes the next World Cup qualifiers. There will also be wall-to-wall FA Cup ties starting from next year with games on Friday night, Saturday, three slots on Sunday and on to Monday night."

Still, football should be on saturdays

Being a family man now, I must say that Friday nights have a fair attraction about them. For one, it will be a lot easier to get a pass out for hitting town after every home game :drinks:

friday night, saturday dinner..

owts better than sunday games

Football should be 3pm on Saturday afternoon, it's tradition. Moving games to other days and time slots is killing the game but all they can see is the money coming in from TV deals.

When will they realise that when crowds drop the atmosphere will disappear and the TV experience will sound rubbish as you will only hear the players shouting at each other rather than the crowd.

If we continue in this vain, more and more games on TV, the game will be dead in 5 years time.
