Anybody catch that story in The Bolton News that Tower FM will not be offering full match commentary on Wanderers games next season.

 

They reckon that their listeners prefer detailed regular updates instead!!

 

 

FFS the full match coverage is the only reason most of Tower FM's listeners tune in!

I am not at all suprised, it is a right waste of time that dour commentary they give us. All the commentator ever goes on about is the nice pies or sarnies he's had at half time. Then he'll spend a couple of minutes wishing some no mark a happy birthday

Eh at least its coverage.

 

We are now back to 15 seconds on BBC Manchester City. Even when we get picked as a commentary game there is a near constant 'around the grounds'.

Graham Lovett is a top bloke and always gives this site and its charity dinners a plug. He even attended last years dinner, which is a lot more than some people on here do.

I've never heard a Tower FM commentary but I've met Graham Lovett and he seems a right nice bloke.

He is however, it must be said, the worst commentator in the history of radio, nice guy or not. Always think they missed a trick by not getting Higson to do them.
