Two late goals rescued us then - (what is now a very rare thing:) Diouf and The Borg if the memory serves me correct?

I am pretty sure we will win but without an early goal it could get nervous.

What are we saying - is a 3-0 win a minimum from an average performance from Bolton?

Without being rude to the Mac lads, Rabotnicki appear to be something like the level of Bury.

A 2-0 win and i'd be happy. I very much doubt we'll see a goalfest. But i hope i'm wrong.

I fcuking hope not. Our home record against Bury at The Reebok (and Burnden) is pretty poor!!

Who recalls that Tuesday night in the League Cup in about our second season at The Reebok when Bury dicked us.

Very true, I'd forgotten that night. Was five years ago yesterday, christ we were poor then, but we did field a very understrength team from what i remember.

How much did that Bury mongals enjoy that!

EDIT: The team wasn't anywhere near as weak as i remembered FFS!

Wanderers: Poole, Mendy, David Holdsworth, Campo, Livesey, Johnson, Tofting, Akin, Smith, Walters, Armstrong. Subs: Pedersen for Armstrong 53 mins, Dean Holdsworth for Walters 58 mins, Nolan for Johnson 59 mins. Not used: Jaaskelainen, Richardson.

Was that only 5 years ago? It took a life time to recover from that - living in Bury and all!!

That defence looks mighty strong - Mendy, Campo, Holdsworth and Livesey

As I recall the game Bury fully deserved the win as our 'squad' was proved to be utter shite.

I remember Akin Bulent looking especially shite that evening. Was that his only appearance?

That's because FSA signed the wrong Bulent.

He was after Bulent Korkmaz (decent player), he sent the scout along and Bulent Akin had a better game. We ended up with Akin.

Beltin diving header :yahoo:

We're regaining our confidence.I think we'll score several.

Don't be silly

After seeing how poor we've been this season at the back, the Macedonians have a chance.

But if we play an attacking formation with Braaten & Wilhelmsson - we'll sh?t 'em.

Sadly, I don't think Little Sam has the bottle and will stick to his tried & tested formula of playing the same sh?t team every week.

he has the bottle

he showed that when making the crazy decision to substitute mccann with wilhelmsson when we equalised v everton

we didn't get another kick

And at Derby it was the total opposite, and these lads will more like pub team Derby than Liverpool reserves :good:

I have vague memories of them being really sh?t in the air at the back. We had a few headed chances which were squandered?

Or was I Skopsko-ed?

but even then, he laced the bench with attackers - one too many imo

whatever else he is, he's not scared to try to win games, and in his position, that takes some balls

we did

each met with a pitiful effort
