Is that confirmed?

Fat Sam's not in charge. Move on!

It's time we got over this Riley business. There are worse refs than him about at the moment and we haven't done too badly out of him since the Leicester debacle (P7 W2 D3 L2). Despite the clutching-at-straws controversy surrounding Zenden's penalty in Cardiff, it was hardly Riley's fault we didn't turn up on the day. The same can be said for the defeat at West Ham last season.

Bolton's Riley record since Leicester:

2006-07 Man City (A) 2-0 - yellow: Diouf, Faye, Hunt

West Ham (A) 1-3 - yellow: Thompson, Gardner, Nolan, Davies, Speed

2005-06 Aston Villa (A) 2-2 - yellow: Diouf, Ben Haim

Blackburn (A) 0-0 - yellow: Fadiga, O'Brien, N'Gotty, Jaaskelainen red: Nakata

2003-04 Liverpool CC (A) 3-2

Middlesbrough CC (N) 1-2 yellow: Frandsen, Campo, Charlton

2002-03 WBA (H) 1-1 yellow: Campo, Nolan red: N'Gotty

I clicked on this thread thinking 'please don't let it say Mike Riley!' The worst referee i've ever seen. He seems to be under the impression that we've all turned up to watch him in action. I predict at least one sending off and a ridiculous penalty, possibly within the first five minutes.

I think if you take it back further, the Liverpool CC game is the only game we've won that Riley has been in charge of. The bloke is a joke of a referee & the trouble is he always has the last laugh

I think if I do that you'll look a bit of an idiot.

The league win at City last season aside:

97/98 Coventry (A) 2-2; Blackburn (H) 2-1; Blackburn (A) 1-3

98/99 no games

99/00 no games

00/01 Tranmere (h) 1-0; Preston (a) 2-0.

That takes our record for the last ten years with him in charge to P12 W5 D4 L3.
