yep me too. heard him on 5 live sounded good. they mentioned on the radio about boos at the final whistle and he said he didn't hear any. i didn't hear any meself but any that were there must have been for the ref surely. or maybe a journalist looking for a bite. anyway we aint bottom we are on a drawing streak and it's only ten days til my munich jolly. :good:

You're right. They were for that f?ckwit of a ref and just to reiterate how bad he was, the boos were coming from the West Stand masseevs.

and the 6000 of us that no longer ago...

the majority i would guess are in the age bracket of 30 - 45...and those that enjoyed those days..

Yep, your right I fall into that bracket like many others, football is a completely different experience now and will attract a different audience. I'm picking and choosing games now and have chosen Munich (a place I have never been and probably wont have the chance to watch the whites play again) instead of another drab game at the breezeblock, probably lots more are doing the same.

A passionate scouser who i had experience of working with for 8 years once said...

you have three sets of fans...

your home fans..

your away fans...

and your european away fans...these being the most loyal and passionate..

i agree wholeheartedly...

my experience of watching Bolton abroad agree with that sentiment exactly...

you will see faces abroad who you will never see at the reebok again...

sad but true.

You contradict yourself. How can the fans you never see at the Reebok be the most loyal and passionate?

exactly carrick... i was there myself in those transits etc.. the lads that went in those days went because they enjoyed the whole experience of going to a match.. i mean the craic with the lads, the beer, the smelly transit etc.. what a good laugh it was.. but most people even on shit wages could still afford football and beer on saturday and midweek too. the walk into town afterwards for a night on the beer or, if u chose... the 10 minute drive home.

i still believe that when the fans (even the skint ones) have something at the reebok they enjoy, they will come back. when fans were skint in "the transit van days", even though managers and football was rubbish, they still found money from somewhere to be on those trips. times have changed, simple as that..

OYE! That was my transit. it wasnt smelly! Slow yes!

I take your point...

but as said before because guys now have fallen out of love with British football...and they don't attend week in week out doesn't make them less passionate about their team...

European football...and trips like these take them back...

don't attend week in week out doesn't make them less passionate about their team...

Erm, it actually does....

Erm, it actually does....

come on then why...

come on then why...

Because if they were that 'passionate' they'd be at the match

...And money grows on trees?

Bobbers,

you're wasting your breath trying to reason with HFC. Check his inane mumblings on other topics: you'll see what I mean.

...And money grows on trees?

It's a question of prioritising. If you'd rather spend money on going out or shopping or whatever then you aren't passionate, you're just a supporter.

I earn less than most on here (I assume, due to my age) but I still get to all the games because I prioritise

Or maybe you live with your parents and don't have a mortgage and bills to pay.

oh do come on..

you will have to do better than that...

Yeah, those off here who prioritise food on the table and clothes on the backs for their kids have got their priorities all wrong.

I've never slated a poster off of this site but i'm getting pretty damn close because you are living in a dream world!!

Don't talk with your cock hanging out Son.

I've not been since we beat Leeds on the last home game of the 2004 season, yet every day I get the Buff, every day I want to know what's going on, every live match gets priority over the day/night blah blah blah. 4 years and I could still be nigh on bob on who the starting 11 will be against City, plus subs.

I'm still as passionate about the club I've supported since 1982; I'm not as passionate about the primadonnas, the Reebok, the 'matchday experience', but just because you can go and folk can't/won't does not make you a bigger fan.

And don't forget it c?nteyes.

Bolton could appoint Satan himself as manager and end up in the Conference but I'd still go.

Oi - I haven't got me badges, but we'd be reet

Or maybe you live with your parents and don't have a mortgage and bills to pay.

I live in a flat with my mate and we go 50/50 on bills. I also have to run a car for work which costs a bit. But I still make it to every game, because I actually am passionate

But feel free to laugh at the real fans freezing their arses off while you watch the matches from the pub :good:

And don't forget it c?nteyes.

priceless.

I'm a spoilt little c?nt who does not have to feed any kids or put a roof over their heads, so I can watch Bolton whenever I want to

I notice it's only the ones who don't go who get so angry when I say this. You just can't face the truth, that you are now too lazy/dispassionate to really support your team. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling the truth
