the kids bit, or the spending money bit

Yep, your right I fall into that bracket like many others, football is a completely different experience now and will attract a different audience. I'm picking and choosing games now and have chosen Munich (a place I have never been and probably wont have the chance to watch the whites play again) instead of another drab game at the breezeblock, probably lots more are doing the same.

Ditto, I went on Tursday, will be going on Wednesday then over to Munich next week. Yesterday's game just didnt appeal and nowadays I dont feel obliged to go to games like I used to. I expect hlaf of the people who will be in Munich did'nt attend yesterday's game.

What may have escaped your notice sunshine, is that there are many on this board who have done the full monty, home and away, down the years, and for whatever reason nowadays don't. I'm not going to call them, they were the ones on the terraces at Exeter on a rainy Tuesday evening.

I've ?1500 per month going out on mortgages and bills, I still make all the home games, but for me to go to all the away games, I would have to do without luxaries such as food, shelter and entertainment for the other 6.8 days a week. you make that call and call me less passionate than some snivelling JCL whio still gets pocket money from his mum, and I'll meet up with you at the City game, and I'll introduce you to some of the 'less passionate' fans meself.

This 'I'm a better fan than you' bollox really pi$$es people off, so shut the f?ck up now.

=D> =D> =D>

spot on

Funny how it's a lot of the owder lot who're unhappy with the attendances, and it's also a lot of the owder lot who've f?cked it off for one reason or other ::::::lol::::::

it cost's about ?8 per week for a season ticket.....

HOW many on here really can.t afford that ????

it is just excuses

I can get 8 cans of Stella and 10 lamberts for that.

I'm fairly certain Henricks Fan Club (HFC) is banned from tw because of his constant 'Wind Up's' and abuse.

I once posted to him on the tw forum that I thought his postings were going too far and in my view he would end up getting himself banned if he carried on - to which he sent me a pm (private message) which said -

"Go feck yourself you uppity prick, I'll leave here when I feel like it".

So much for me trying to be helpful to him I guess.

Anyway ww is (was) a new forum for HFC to post on - and a chance of a new beginning.

Doesn?t look as though he's changed though.

And for the record he was claiming to be a student who had just started in Leeds last year - so if he is attending all the matches as claims he is, he is certainly very good at stretching his student grant!!!

http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/boards/viewt...t=leeds+station

Based on past experience, I would suggest people take what HFC says in future with a large pinch of salt!

(I sit back and await another abusive pm!)

Leave him on - it's better than the mods inventing someone and causing arguments that way :good:

Yes, I wasn't seeking for him to be banned but just to warn folk that he has 'previous form' of being a wind up merchant on another site and not to take his future posts too seriously.

Sadly, TW ban anybody who has views different from Hilter Soldier. Real shame as it used to be a good site

We also tend to ban people who are just wind-up merchants, HFC has gone, you are on the radar.

Banning people is pathetic. I don't agree with what he has to say on the subject of attending games but isn't he entitled to an opinion? So what if he winds a few up? Giving (and taking) a bit of stick from time to time is all part of the process of posting your views. If everyone shared the same opinion this site would be as boring as The Wanderer.

I don't like banning.........isn't the internet something you argue on when you're bored in work?!

A f?ckin student?

Shat em.

Oh here we go, all gang up, well done. This is exactly what happened on TW. Anyone who had a different view was banned, so now they are a bunch of saps agreeing with each other. Doesn't make for much fun.

Have we to presume you were banned from TW then?

Sorry, I would have said 'has he balls!' but that would have looked like I was throwing the question back at you :-k

Is it that pathetic? If someone is an utter idiot, they will get banned. If someone is here because they have some kind of attention seeking personality defect that means they have to constantly be engaged in arguments then they also will be banned. This is, of course, once the mods are in agreement. That's how we keep the quality of the site up, you are still here so I'm guessing we are doing to decent job? Despite the fact that you get zero thanks and abused regularly with the odd threat of violence thrown in now and again. That's the fcuking pathetic bit in my book.

I'm bored shitless of explaining this to people but this is how it works; almost everything that gets posted on WW gets read by a mod. It has to, otherwise the site will be shut down before you know it. If you don't like it, start up your own board where idiots and racism are welcome, otherwise give it a rest.

It's perhaps the most overused cliche in the English language, usually wheeled out as a last resort, but yes; everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, they aren't entitled so sprout it on a privately owned message board, especially when their sole aim seems to be distrupting said message board.

The end.

I refer you to my previous post. You've already had one warning, did you not get the message.

I still think it's a total over-reaction to ban someone for voicing an opinion, even if that opinion is phrased in a way that is going to wind people up. No-one is forcing people to respond to a post. If the guy's an 'attention-seeker' as you put it, then just ignore him. Seems to me that he got far more stick than he was giving out and he took it all with good grace. If you're saying that it's neccessary to prevent the board descending into chaos then we'll just have to agree to disagree. A bit of healthy debate and good-natured banter is what separates this site from dross like 'The Wanderer' and 'Bolton Banter', if you lose that you might as well just re-name it 'Pravda' and have done with it.
