Oli you simpleton ignore Casino, he's just a wind-up merchant. You can go faster (70mph) on the Motorways in a coach at weekend which is classed as 8 pm Friday to 6AM Monday because of lighter traffic. Coaches are restricted to 50mph during the week.

5 x 50 = 250. So your 228 is 4h 30 minutes at a constant 50mph. It takes 15 minutes to get from the centre of Bolton to the Motorway. 2 x 30 minute stops - like F1 pit stops, you've got to slow down, stop park up, everybody off, everybody back on again.

That's 6 hours, and you still need to factor in an hour or so for any unforseen delays / overnight roadworks & lane closures.
