Allianz Arena - For Those Who Were There.

I have to say I was very very impressed with the stadium last night an it looked fantastic lit up at night.

However, did anyone else not think that after spending so much money on a superb stadium that they would have bothered to put some fookin lights leading up to the ground? As soon as you got off the metro and over the bridge it was total darkness, and especially when you have been swilling Munichs strongest for 8 hours! It was a claimers dream!

I was also suprised that there was no segragation in the ground at all and you could have basically walked all they way round the ground and picked any seat you wanted?

Anyhoo still a top top day and get wait for the next one! :drinks:

I was very impressed with the stadium and the view from behind the goal.

I thought exactly the same. I went for a wander at half-time. There were no problems but I'm not sure how this would work in the Bundesliga. Or if they draw a club like United who buy all the tickets in the home end and then all cram into their United away end

Very, very impressive inside

Beer was also available in the home end

Bit remote though, some of our lot moan about the Reebok. Nowhere to go for a beer, but I suppose the train service from town is very good, and free

Bit remote though

All German stadia are remote - they design it that way. Found out the hard way at last years World Cup. The trek to the stadium from the city centre beer halls was a fooking pain in the arse.

it was too far out of town wasnt it?

miles further ghan the REEbok.from bolton.

still get 50 odd thousand in there though don't they though, kinda spoils the argument that the reebok is too far from bolton

but I suppose the train service from town is very good, and free

Well, sort of. :pardon:

It was alcohol free lager.

It was alcohol free lager.

thought people would know that by now!! :drinks: :drinks:

alcohol free beer :drinks: its like licking your sister out it taste the same but it just isn,t right

What a great first post. =D>

For the record though, alcohol beer tastes like death and is absolutely pointless in my opinion :nea:

Munich was quality, is it wrong that im now feeling like i cant be arsed goin tommorrow because no trains are running between bolton and preston. Im goin like i just feel like im putting mesen out by doin so :pardon: Gonna be a very low attendance i reckon

my mate didn't and bought me one. Fecking horrible

It was alcohol free lager.

The only full fat beer we found near the ground was at the very end of one of the station platforms. An odd little bar just perched at the end. Very quick service, cheap ale and a great pre-match banter between Bolton and Bayern fans. Did anybody else on here find it?

Desparado was in dream land as they sold bottles of the famous lager from Marseille!

Yep found it, full of Munich's (great how you can say that and it's not being derogatory..!!) - grabbed the first bit of food for the day 2 sausages and then was advised to try something else, so in me best german I ordered it and got low and behold a SPAM butty - It didn't sit too well on the ale I'd supped - Might have been ok if it had been fried!
