What the f?ck was your purpose being in Madrid??????

GMP and stewards should be asking themselves why they were there.

I agree 100% with TSO.

the reason they were there, is the fourth word in tso post

THIS HAS GOTTA BE "POST OF THE WEEK"!WELL SAID TSO!

100% agree.

All there on a free trip.

Stood by and watched.

Pathetic.

The stewards were in the corner of the stand opposite the majority of you, and were happy to sit and watch the trouble from afar. They stayed behind in their seats after the match for 30 mins and then straight onto their coach to be whisked to safety.

We should kick f?ck out of them under the ESL at the next home game.

I could go with that

This has illustrated what many have already known about our stewards - when there is any real action they go missing. Saw them get on their bus - BWFC Security Team. Security? fcukin hell. All we got was a shrug of the shoulders outside our turnstiles

4 GMP and the Chief Super. A bet there was loads of planning meetings in Madrid beforehand as well. Pointless when the local plod ignore them anyway

What's the betting that the soft cnuts will be bigging it up at Ewok tomorrow, where they'll have the backing of the dingle plod

couldnt agree more with the special one ,they are a bunch of cowerdly cunts.

not defending the orange warriors..but was talking to one outside ground before game..asking what they were actually there cos im a nosey git...even he couldnt answer why they were there...apart from a freebie...but he did say they had been told if anything did go off they were not allowed to get involved in anyway..ok make of that what you will...but when the young lad got booted out of the bar by gate 23 and the pigs rammed him up against the wall at top of stairs..the said steward saw how police were treting him and tried to get in there to stop them doing any more to him, but he was pulled back...again i aint defending them, but if they were told not to intervine why have them there

To act as unpaid spotters for GiMP.

True to an extent but equally true is the fact that.....

it was a few Bolton louts who wound up the dago wop baton charging c?nts ensuring that more Bolton fans did go home with split heads.

I particularly liked the spineless d!ck in section 517 wearing a grey G-Star hoody who spent the first 10 minutes of the match getting into it with the athletico fans, stewards and police (all from a fairly safe distance) but then ran like a girl when the inevitable trouble started. First rate c?nt.

Agree 100%.

I got punched in the face off one of the security guys when I was at the front of the queue for the crime of being crushed against the turnstile. It was seconds after this the queue behind me was "attacked" by the police.

Once inside the ground (15 minutes after kick off) and with the now standard Spanish efficiency ? there was no where to sit. I decided to get to some empty seats. What I didn't realise until the next day was that this was a section reserved for Spanish fans. Anyway I was followed by a number of Bolton fans and we sat down to watch the game. The next thing we know is the friendly Spanish police politely asked us to vacate this area by hitting anyone in the way over the head with a Billy stick. This was the cue for round two of the rather one sided boxing match.

I managed to extricate myself from this and found another group of empty seats and managed to watch the rest of the game. At the end of the game, when the locals congratulated us on our historic progression to the next stage by throwing coins and bottles at us, Bolton fans started ripping out seats and throwing them at the Madrid fans. The police must have thought this looked like fun and so decided to join in. Cue Round Three and once more folks being smacked over the head with a Billy Stick or crack across the back with what looked like a metre long plastic pipe. Looking at the pictures in the press I think it is from this stage of the evening's frivolities.

The next day when the rats compared our gifts from the police. Out of our group of ten, we had two with bumps on their head (non serious enough to break the skin), one with a sore finger (protecting his head with his hand) and two with lovely marks on their backs (not gained from vigorous love making - but will still need some explaining to loved ones).

The sight of a police horse with a riot police thug riding it heading straight for me outside the ground, whilst all I am trying to do is get into the ground, will live with me for ever.

We just thanked our lucky stars the the thug was bashing Bolton fans on the opposite side of his horse compared to where we were.

Was originally going to post a reply in defence of the "orange warriors" relating to the incident at the home game against Atletico in the North Stand lower but seems a bit pointless now. However having said that I would hope we never see the likes of baton charging thugs, sorry police(legitamised thugs)attacking supporters at the Reebok. In my opinion that would mean that the stewaarding has failed.Initially all crowd trouble is dealt with by stewards and if this turns to a public order offence then turned over to the police.Didn't attend the game at Madrid but the clips I have seen show no stewards and no real reason for the assault. It is widely known that Bolton take all expenses paid stewards to these games and it would be interesting to hear their views on what role they are playing.

Jay you're signed in and the missus again, pay attention lad! :pardon:

I think the job of the stewards was to help us all get on the right plane on the TMG trip. It's a confusing world out there, reading which desk you need to check in at, then walking to security and getting through, then finding your gate. As for when you get to Madrid.. well, I'd still be stuck in Madrid airport if it hadn't been for their help!

the stewards on the TMG trip are nowt to do witht he club they work for TMG.

I knew the plod would be bad early doors - they were enjoying pushing women about outside the Irish bars.

Then I got in the ground just before the crush and saw that owd fella, with about 5 riot piggies around him, getting beaten senseless.....he certainly looked like no thug to me.....with his grey hair & Bolton top on. Afterwards he was put in an ambulance and they seemed to be laughing & joking about it.

I was in the tier behind it kicking off....and was glad Bolton fans decided to fight back in the end.

As for GMP and co saying they'll 'get involved', do us all a favour....you're all coppers and were probably enjoying it as much as your Spanish chums.

Frank, you're obsessed with stewards, do you know that!

I didn't actually see any of our warriors in or outside of the ground. I just presumed they were all hiding in the bogs, shitting themselves.

course they were there on a free jolly

let's face it, what were there, 3 officers from GMP was it? what the fook could they have done anyway, don't think the baton wielding pigs cared much for who they were whacking
