I know people have asked for it many a time in the past, but does anybody have the link to the website with our seasonal records on it.

I tried a search but to no avail.

It wasn't the site I've seen in the past but it has what I wanted.

Cheers Muzz

NO worries, any site that has Bolton Wanderers and Mad in its site title, has to be one to use

Just looking at some of the stats on that site and our home support has never been that big. Even in the Worthington days but we did get 35000 against Liverpool. I was only a kid then and even though I used to go with my old man I didn't realise our support was so poor.

I think we'd put seats in the Lever end by 1979, so i doubt wether Burnden held many more than 35,000 at that time.

i think capacity was about 35

don't forget scousers probably had way more spaces than theyd be given now

we've only averaged over 30,000 about 5 times. Mind, Reading will never have averaged anything like that and are extending to 38,000

You could try this: http://www.boltonwanderers-mad.co.uk/footy...1&teamno=80

It has results back to 1888

Good site that, answers a question I'd always wondered about - what was out lowest ever (week on week) league position? Turns out that if you ignore losing at Scarborough - which put us 16th in the old 4th, but was only the 3rd game of the season, so a bit meaningless - it was October 10th 1987 after losing 1-0 at Darlington in front of 1763 spectators. That left 13th in Division 4. Did anyone off here go?

can't remember it, but did the midweeker at scunthorpe just before and the awayer at rochdale just after, so probably

fcuk we were shite

Capacity was 43k, officially anyhow.

I remember the Liverpool section of the Embankment that night (they had the combined two smaller bits) as it was rammed way, way beyond capacity.

Paddock :yahoo:

42 thou?

i don't think we're having that

it was heaving against sunderland with 42, and even more heaving against everton with 50

seat the lever and i cant see how we get to 42

specially as easter monday saw 32 with united in town

2250 in the Manny Rd Nth. Thats as many seats as there in the North Upper at the Reebok.

Nowadays you'd get a certificate for about 300.

And when full, I reckon there were about 1500 notrights in there.

A finger of fudge.....

It wasn't 42, it was 35.5 (see S Marland book) & Livpool was at the capacity

So going off that site, the biggest crowd i've been in for a Bolton home game was 50,000 at Burnden v Everton in 1977, seemed pretty fookin full iirc.

my post was from a programme that season. Officially it was 42k (never mind what Marland says); though how the fook you'd get them in I don't know.
