Blame The Players

Featured Replies

All I've read recently is a list of non-playing staff getting the blame for our shambolic season, namely Lee, Megson and Gartside. Fair enough, they all played a small part in our downfall but can we not forget the fooking players when handing out the blame.

Every single one of our players has underperformed this season. One or two decent individual performances don't hide the fact that for 99% of the season the players have been spineless, lazy and talentless. For all our big name players and their ridiculously high wages I can't believe we have a squad of players who can't pass the ball 5 yards to a white shirt. It's like a plumber not knowing how to bleed a radiator.

I'm quite happy to go down if it finally rids us of these wannabe playboys, I'd rather be in the Championship with a squad of players who want to play for BWFC - regardless of their talent.

I've read several comments on here from people begging us to get behind the players during the run-in and it makes me laugh. Do you honestly think it will make any difference? A noisy support won't suddenly make Campo pass to a white shirt or Davies score a hat-trick or Diouf give a s**t.

So stop wasting your time blaming Megson and friends, blame the people who could actually have done something to avoid relegation - the fecking players.

I think the whole point is that the men in charge; Davies (E), Gartside, Lee and Megson are the ones charged with ensuring the football team is as good as it can be. The first two by ensuring funds are made available to the second two. The second two are responsible for ensuring that the funds which come their way are spent wisely.

Davies (E), Gartside and Megson, between them, are responsible for ensuring that the only player in the team capable of putting the ball in the net is NOT SOLD UNTIL AN ADEQUATE REPLACEMENT IS FOUND! END OF!!!!

none of this win as a team lose as a team on here.

players, management and Board all have to take their share.

Fine, but it's not like we're in a financial position to change the whole squad. The majority of the squad were good enough to finish in the top 8 the previous season so to go from moderate success to relegation inside 12 months suggests the players have underperformed.

aye, but in that 12 months lost manager, faye, ben haim, anelka and the midfield who dissappeared from jan onwards

Or the players overperformed the year before <_<

Mickey is right, that is what as fcuk us up.

If we had got a decent forward we whould not be in this mess.

Davo and diouf are good at what they do(sometimes)

but they are not goalscores. Over to super Matt to keep us up.

The fact that we have only won 9 games from the last 50 in the league, under 3 different managers and one caretaker manager suggests that changs in staff haven't changed the results. Therefore the two constants are poor form and the players. That means it's the players' faults.

Absolutely, and just to emphasise the point who would you have as 'Player of the Year' because hand on heart I don't think anyone is deserving??

If I was in charge: there'd be no more player of the year and the players would be told that it was off because nobody deserves it.

Winning the award this year is like winning the plate competition at a tournament ie you're the best of the losers.

which club voted one of their random academy players as player of the year one year as they were so fecked off with the inadequacies of the 1st team players that they decided if anyone should get it why not him.
