April 15, 200818 yr Quite a few people singing his praises and he's scoring a few goals recently. Should he be given a chance or will he be another Vaz Te?
April 15, 200818 yr Quite a few people singing his praises and he's scoring a few goals recently. Should he be given a chance or will he be another Vaz Te? At 18 who knows, but you will not see him this season because Bolton dont do it that way
April 16, 200818 yr At 18 who knows, but you will not see him this season because Bolton dont do it that way In the past few years, you're right. But in the past, they did it with Ray Parry, Francis Lee and others. Obadeyi isn't the finished article from what I saw earlier this season, but what's to lose giving him the last 15 minutes or so of games ? He might not do much, but his pace & strength might create an opening for someone else or even win a penalty. He's got to be a better option than Rasiak.
April 16, 200818 yr In the past few years, you're right. But in the past, they did it with Ray Parry, Francis Lee and others. You don't have to go back that far. Nolan, Hunt, Gardner and Vaz Te were all youngsters when they came into the side. Still waiting for Olaf Snorrason to burst on the scene, mind.
April 16, 200818 yr Nolan, Hunt, Gardner and Vaz Te were all youngsters when they came into the side. And how many of them have become the boo boys favourites Young players play on confidence - that's why we need experienced heads at the minute, that can tough this ride out. Having said that, maybe a kid would come in and play with no fear?
April 16, 200818 yr Still waiting for Olaf Snorrason to burst on the scene, mind. What scene is this? I thought you said you were non-scene?
April 16, 200818 yr I remember anticipating the arrival of Emanuel Morini, snatched from under the noses of Italy's biggest clubs...the new Baggio/Del Pierro
April 16, 200818 yr I remember anticipating the arrival of Emanuel Morini, snatched from under the noses of Italy's biggest clubs...the new Baggio/Del Pierro Scored on his only start for the club. Played for some right shite after we binned him. http://www.wanderersways.com/forum/index.p...st&p=319723 Edited April 16, 200818 yr by enzo gambaro
April 16, 200818 yr Get him on the bench on saturday. Like others have said he cannot be worse than Rasiak. He cannot be ruined in 15 minutes of a game, no matter how badly he could play. If we were winning then we don't bring him on, we protect the lead, if we are 1 nil down then bring him on, inject some pace up front, an unknown prospect for their defence to cope with. Look what Freddie Sears has done at West Ham, when he comes on, the crowd liven up, the team seem to lift, and even his work rate and pace seem to scare a defence. If our kid as anyway near as good as him then he is better than our other options. Having him on the bench is a win win situation. When was the last time we brought someone through the youth? JOB, Vaz Te? It's about time we brought another through.
April 17, 200818 yr Yeah, and then when he doesn't run hard enough for some of you, or track back etc etc, you can than slate another youngster and call him crap
April 17, 200818 yr Quite a few people singing his praises and he's scoring a few goals recently. Should he be given a chance or will he be another Vaz Te? Is that at serious post? When we pay money for someone they don't play until there mandatory 6 months 'bedding in' time is up! So I doubt a youth player will get a start until he is at least 28!
