but........ I've got to sort a few things out first before I tell you it..... it involves losing things, being very, very, very drunk and my disorganised life..... but I'm sure outsiders looking in will find it amusing!

off to the opticians (FINALLY) to pick up my new glasses and to get my car taxed** (and that's another story in itself too).

(and if anyone bumps into me in town, then I can fully explain the red sick stains on my jeans!)

EDIT

**Oops, just remembered, I can't do that today, part of the overall tale.

I typed it up last night, then my battery went on my laptop and I lost the entire story..... fook!!!

It involved lager, bitter, vodka, krupnicks, chili, red wine.... vomit on a mate's couch & laminate flooring.

Losing keys. Finding one set of keys the following day stuck in the lock on the outside of the door! Being locked out of my car. Locked out of my mum's house. Locked out of my dad's house. Walking home covered in sick with no shirt on. Spending most of Saturday having to wear my 1994 yellow BWFC away shirt. Losing my log book and car tax renewal form. Having to borrow a Ford Ka to do some errands. It was shocking!

Can't be arsed with the full story now.

Anyway, yesterday, thought my luck had changed. Took the kids to see the new Narnia film. Chip & Pin wasn't working so they let us in for FREE. Haha. Got back to my car afterwards and the "CHECK EMISSIONS" message was on and it was misfiring. Now then, I know the problem was to do with the Coil as I'd had this before.

Called the AA to come and fix it - only to find that my membership had run out back in March..... so I had to renew over the phone, but they had to charge me for the call-out as well. Had to cough up for the new coil and basically found myself ?170 worse off.

I did find the missing house keys in a bush though on Sunday tea-time!!!

Oh, and this morning, I have apparently left my car on a car park with the drivers side window fully down whilst I'm working in Manchester until later.

It doesn't rain..... it pours.

Right then: here's the shortlist for Wandererways Idiot of the Year.

Smiley (see above, plus other escapades involving glasses and money etc)

Squidgy (obvious reasons)

Olispence.

I presume that olispence won it last year, as he has qualified for Europe this time around

belting this

that bit about the AA, genius

is this story being split into 2 parts like Kill Bill?

or you going for the simultaneous story telling as seen in pulp fiction?

Oli has some serious competition here.

hopefully his summer blog will provide worse stories than this to save your embarrasement

The keys thing was highly complicated......

I have house keys for 3 houses, plus office keys.

I have a spare car key at my dad's but the house key for my dad's was in my glove compartment of the car!

My other car key was in my mum's house - but the keys for her house were, as I discovered late Sunday, in a bush at my other house..... apparently after failing to open the front door with my keys on Friday night (well 4.40am), I used my mum's house keys to throw at the window to get my step-daughter up to answer the door and let me in...... even though I don't actually live there anymore!!!! I was so p?ssed I didn't bother to see where or if they landed.... and by Saturday morning, didn't really recall that event.

I did borrow the Ford Ka (off another relative) and a spare set of house keys for my dad's off my brother on Saturday afternoon - only to remember that I have internal locks on doors at my dad's and couldn't get access to my bedroom or wardrobe to get some clean clothes..... and my spare car key(card) - well the battery had gone on that so it was almost useless anyway!!! I did manage to get into my car though - but set the alarm off and couldn't lock the doors again afterwards.....

thing is, the AA bit wasn't part of the original plot - neither was leaving my car window open this morning.... these are adhoc bits.... ie. DVD extras so to speak!

4 coils in the Renault.

2 have gone now.

I will ask the question tomorrow.

AA have replaced them both times.

1st time was under warranty.

This time was out of my pocket.
