July 8, 200818 yr I reckon if all prices were the same Vukcevic, he has more skill than Harper and would fulfill the creative player that will be needed if/when Diouf goes. However, prices aren't the same. And if buying Vukcevic over Harper means second standard across the rest of the squad then it's a tricky problem.

Id go for Jimmy Bullard without a shadow of a doubt!! by far the best of the players who we have linked with
July 8, 200818 yr It would all depend on the prices. Reading seem to be holding out for ?3.5m for Harper. Vukcevic is rumoured to be available for ?5m. The extra ?1.5m won't affect our other plans IMO, or at least it shouldn't. Therefore, go for Vukcevic, provided he is ?5m.

Harper would be the least risky, but is he the best option? vukcevic, only 22, limited appearances last season but still scored 7 in 19 - not sure about not being able to hold down a place, was his first season there nothing to say on hidalgo harper, did he not play the season before in a side that did well? reckon harper would fit in nicely on the right vukcevic, like the sounds of him, seems to have good potential to quote robocop "can I not have you both?" cost us more than a dollar though

He scored 10 goals in 31 games in the Spanish second division and scored i hink more last season. He was one of the main reasons they got promoted to la liga last season. I know that i will be slated for this again but on FM08 he has got some very good stats. Dribbling 13 Work rate 17 stamina 16 strength 17 natural fitness 16 positioning 16 finishing 14 long shots 15 penalty taking 15 passing 15 marking 15 technique 13 i could go on but sufficed to say he looks a good player. Better than Harper but i would still prefer Vukcevic as he's 6 years younger, has top flight + european experience and is a full international. I'm not sure how much Hidalgo is going for but if its around the same price i would prefer Vukcevic!
