July 18, 200817 yr Why do you think your lot refuse to make carrying a knife by a young scrote an immediate custodial sentance? eh? what is the blind slack jawed c*nt scared of? discuss.
July 18, 200817 yr I don't think agree with sending them to prison for carrying a knife.Partly because the prisons are already overcrowded and building more would be at the expense of the tax payer but mainly because i don't think a custodial sentence is a good enough deterent.Life in jail can be comfortable. I'd give them huge on the spot fines of say ?20,000 and they can't get mortgages/loans for cars etc until they have paid it off.Set them back a few years. Parents with kids under 16 caught with knives pay half the fine themselves....if parents won't bring their kids up properly they'll pay the price for not keeping their knickers/underpants on.
July 18, 200817 yr George, I think thou misunderstandeth. Bobcat means that introducing mandatory custodial santences for being found in possession of a knife will nip the trend in the bud and probably reduce knife carrying by 90% plus. This will mean that there won't be massive extra strain applied to the prison system and knifing incidents will be massively reduced. Everyone's a winner baby.

Life in jail is better than life out of jail for a proportion of people. All they have to do to live a better quality of life is get caught carrying a knife. Fining them ?20k doesn't benefit them in any way. If there were thousands of beds available in prisons like Alcatraz i'd be all for a 5 year prison sentences as a deterent but there aren't. The root of the problem is bad parenting and its them that should be punished for the under 16s.If their 13 year old kid is out at night with a knife in their pocket, then they haven't brought it up properly and should be hit in the pocket.
July 18, 200817 yr If they are caught in possession of a knife, that they shouldn't have, then they should have one of their hands cut off, or a foot if they prefer. There is of course the proviso that they cannot claim any disability benefit as a result of this action. Obviously the same punishment for carrying guns as well
July 18, 200817 yr what makes you think they'll pay the fines they'll be back in court - or not attending more likely - for non-payment before you know it just kill the fcukers
July 18, 200817 yr I don't think agree with sending them to prison for carrying a knife.Partly because the prisons are already overcrowded and building more would be at the expense of the tax payer I disagree that the prisons are overcrowded, we are only told this because people are bothered about prisoner welfare. I'll bet that you could get at least one more set of bunk beds into each prison cell. It may be cramped, but who cares. I often hear on the radio, how cushy our prisons are compaired to the rest of the world, we perhaps we should make them a little less pleasant. Strip out all the luxury items, and just give them a bed. Feed them 3 times a day, on basic rations, and give them an hours exercise. Less violent criminal types should be made to work in chain-gangs like in the olden days.

Spot on.If prisoners were made to live like honest, hard working Poles with 8 in a 2 bed terrace, prison would be more of a deterent.
July 18, 200817 yr hotbedding tis the future thats'a great point, I hadn't thought of that. Double up on bunkbeds, run a "shift" system of 3 x 8 hours, hey presto you could get 6x more prisoners in. Cassie, you're a genious
July 18, 200817 yr when they say prisons are overcrowded, are they talking about on a 2 to a cell basis and there is no room left? I don't have an issue with sticking 6, 7 or 8 in a cell at once for crimes of that nature, that'll learn em
July 18, 200817 yr TBH we've more on our hands with breaking (or rather amending) our own economic policy at the moment. I expect the Tories (and Maarsh) to make hay while the sun shines.
July 18, 200817 yr Prison isnt much of a deterant for petty villains, just an occupational hazard. There is a certain myth that its all comfy cosy, but washing and shitting in front of another bloke isnt particularly nice, nor being told when to eat, shower, excerise, ring your kids etc. Luxuries have to be earned through good ehavior and work, play the c?nt and you on 23 hour lock up with nowt but your cock for enjoyment. Only when your in an open nick in the summer do you get chance to sunbathe and play cricket all weekend. Making it harsher only serves to alienate them from any kind of rehabilitation which they may get otherwise. Is it really wise to lock someone up, then send them out in a worse state they came in? I dont think so. Most are not intellegent enough to think 'f?ck that, I'm not going there again', they just come out harder and are even more of a mentalist than when they went in. So its catch 22. Prison should be about punishment but also getting them into a fit enough state to become decent citizens again, either by education, training, or just giving them a wash, a feed, and a roof over their heads when they come out so they can start again. Folk with knives, f?ck knows what to do with em. Dipping a toe in wont work, its either got to be long term draconian punishments or nowt.
July 18, 200817 yr The higher the fine for knife crimes: the more grannies get mugged to pay the fines.
July 18, 200817 yr 1. Lock the cnts up. If the prisons are full build more. 2. Blindy hasn't been the Home Secretary since 2005. 3. Cameron's lot won't lock them up either.

Cameron's lot won't lock them up either. i think its ignorant to ignore smiffs comments on this....... if we can't kill em then its longer sentences, ie 30 odd years, and castration, but 6 months aint going to get us anywhere
