My issue is that it's been blown up into a Weapons of Mass Destruction type arguement what is completely over the top

 

And, the 27K who've complained have done so because newspapers/media have told them to do so, admitidly subliminanally

It's another case of people craving to be offended. Also, a lot of people despise Brand and Ross, claiming they're "talentless" and so on, so will have complained out of sheer spite.

Ross can be mildly amusing at times but is a publicity seeking fucker. Brand is a ponce who just isn't very funny. Plus he has a stupid accent and even stupider hair. (is stupider is word at all?)

 

So it was Brand's show so he takes the can for the stunt but it was pre-recorded so the producer and editor should be the ones getting the flak for airing it. Those two were being childish and taking the piss out of an old grandad is pretty low but reading the papers you would think the old guy died of a heart attack or something. Totally OTT reaction to a shite joke that should never have been aired in the first place!

I think that one who complained was the man himself, Andrew Sachs who took offence to being phoned up by two morons who verbally abused both himself and his grandaughter with sexually explicit suggestions! The police asked him if he wanted to make a complaint, he refused. If he had, they would both have faced serious criminal charges.

The fact that the BBC did nothing and then the papers gio hold of the story is the reason for the huge amount of publicity.

Ross's show was excellent on R2 cracking music and usually very funny, much better than his Telly show anyway
