Smolarek Vs Makukula

hmmmm, what do you all reckon then?

Got to say the big fella looks off the pace but willing to run and work hard - looked like he was blowing out of his arse in the first half though.

Smolarek looked quite classy and very willing. Liked the look of him and reckon with a sustained run in the team he could be quality. Some weird reason I thought of him as another Andy Walker yesterday.

Should we start with the Pole or the Port in the next game?

smolarek is the new riga

the big lump is the best big lump we've got after davies

disagree.

Budapest is the new Riga.

ebi is FAR too lightweight imo

and makka looks like a big donk.

both willing runners though.

i think if shittu played up there, we wouldnt lose out on much.

when elmander fit?

I've got a feeling that Big Mak will come good after a run of a few games and becoming match fit. But at the moment I would want Smolarek starting up front (only if he was in a 442 with Davies as he is too lightweight to play the lone front man). However if Smolarek plays then Big Mak won't get the match sharpness. A bit of a dilema then.

I agree with that, he takes up some very good positions and with a bit of sharpness he will be a decent player imo. Smolarek got flicked off the ball loads of times so hes no good up there alone. Depending on the circumstances in the match i would have a spell for both with Maka maybe starting them Smolarek coming on and put Davies up top with him.

pacamac looks terrible, but i bet he is even worse to play against

with kev playing more central we caused a lot of problem, ebi then came on and used the space well.

i would nt change much from yesterday untill elmander is fit and then comes in alongside kev d.

Carlos Queeroz came to watch Makka yesterday, so he's obviously rated quite highly.

As long as it's not Pol Pot I'm not too fussed tbh

Strong left winger?

from what I've seen of both, Smolarek looks more likely to do anything constructive in the final 3rd

I would not change the line up though, but would give Smolarek another 30 mins rather than 5 mins or less, if possible at that point in the next game
