The World's Gone Mad....

Featured Replies

The sick woman contacted the trust about the incident and Mrs Petrie was challenged by her superiors.

Indeed, she is reporting something like this.

I'm not sure, if I need a nurse to bandage my legs (hardly death's door is it), I don't want a godbotherer doing it. Keep your faith to yourself. If I'm dying, give me the last rites, until then just do your job eh.

She might have been trying to steal her blood

You have to watch these baptists, following John the Baptist instead of baby Jesus is just wrong

May the power of Christ compel them

two weeks ago i went to see my asian gp, after taking an overdose and speaking with the crisis team. rather than offer any other alternative medication, or looking into therapy, he suggested i go home and read the gideons bible i was given as a small boy. psalm 23- the law is my shepherd.

if a white gp recommended the christian faith to an asian patient there would be uproar. to say i was angry and dismayed is an understatement.

Just about the same thing :pardon:

Am I a bad person for finding that very funny?

Definitely

She has previous warnings for God-bothering around patients

Fucking ridiculous way to carry on

That said I don't really trust strongly religious people of any form, faith is dangerous stuff in the wrong hands

She deserves no sympathy for trying to push religion on people, like someone said on the radio it's no different to hawking tupperware to her patients

I think it's all pathetic. She had been warned about handing out religious cards which is without doubt mithering but a simple 'would you like me to pray for you ?' I'm not sure. And what's to stop her if you say no anyway. Equally pathetic was the athethiest psychologist interviewed on Radio 2 who gets upset when she sneezes and someone says ''God Bless You'. Would you want to be on her couch ?

I'd be slightly worried if I was in the medical care of someone who offered to help me by talking to her imaginery friend. Religious people are nutters.

I don't understand why they get away with it. If I started talking to someone that didn't exist I'd be locked up, but they claim it's "god" and everyone accepts it. Fooking bizarre.

There is a lot of anger on this thread!

Do you all want me to pray for you??

:pardon:

Yes please. And I don't just want silent prayer I want you to write it down on here as well. And not just a little prayer either, at least half a sermons worth.

Leave it with me, i left my giddions at home.

Don't worry, there's loads of giddy 'uns on here.

"The difference between a successful team is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will, because the character rather than education is Megsons greatest need and Boltons greatest safeguard, because the character is higher than the intellect.

The difference between men is energy, in the strong will, in a singleness of purpose, and an invincible determination.

But the great difference is in sacrifice, in self-denial, in love and in loyalty, in fearlessness and in humility, in the pursuit of excellence and in the perfectly disciplined will, because this is not only the difference between men, but this is the difference between great and little men."

Best i could do with a bit of Divine Googling!

Peace be with you all!

not at all- most folk p#ssed themselves. i was only dumbfounded because of my condition- my user name suggests i am a man of the cloth. i was ordained purely for administrative purposes. i wouldnt dream of pushing my beliefs on anyone. to quote sroobius pip

Religion became a tool, for the weak to control the strong

Yeah, but Scroobius Pip also said "A lot of my poems and writings seem to start with me waking up, or being in a dream, or dream like state. Now, this implies a certain level of abstraction in my work.. You might say I'm keeping it surreal but.. I'd rather you didn't. Fact is. I sleep a lot. It's as simple as that. I like sleepin' man. It's a nice place to be."
